Home Building
When we moved in, we had a flood in a bathroom. At first they refused to come out and even look at it and when they eventually did they denied all responsibility. They said they don’t use the product anymore and that the company wasn’t even in business. I looked up the business and it was still in business so they lied to me. They left a hole in the foundation and tried to hide the issue. I saw the issue and called them and they did take responsibility for that. The house was out of warranty at the time, but they did fix that free of charge. The finished work was really roughly put together. It looked slapped up. The price was good for what we got, but in the end I felt for my dollar all I got just the square footage. We have had to upgrade almost everything in the house since moving in. The moldings around the kitchen cabinets weren’t even wood, it was foam, and we had to replace that. The list is endless of things that were done poorly.

They built a home for me and subcontracted everything.  Subcontractors did the basement, electrical, plumbing, siding, and everything else.  They were putting sliding glass doors on the house where I wanted a regular entry door, but I stopped them in time.  The floor in the kitchen was so warped that a marble would roll to the wall.  The siding was subcontracted to a guy and his wife.  If the wind picked up, we would lose siding.  It was unbelievable.  I was so disappointed.  We wanted a glacier boulder in our yard.  Rather than getting a bigger dozer, they just pushed through the yard and completely destroyed the lawn.  They did fix it eventually, but it was still a bad experience.  They installed the sump pump in the wrong place.  They also didn’t label the circuit breaker box.  I had to use walkie talkies and a friend to label the box.
