Rochester Linoleum & Carpet One - Canandaigua

We purchased flooring for the basement area of our home.  We were told by the sales rep at the store that it would be 2-3 weeks before the flooring came in and someone would call us to schedule install.  6 weeks later we kept calling them and filed several complaints.  The install of the flooring was finally scheduled and the installer did a respectable job on the flooring but the baseboard is shorter than the original baseboard which leaves a gap between the paint and the top of the baseboard.  We again notified the store and filed a complaint.  We were told someone would come out to look at it and that has never happened.  The installer told US he was going place a lien on our home to get the attention of Rochester Linoleum because he had not been paid.  He had not been paid because we had complained.  This is ludicrous.

This was a terrible experience for us and it would seem the word about the lack of responsiveness is spreading as we've heard similar stories about the other locations.  We would never purchase another product from this company and would never recommend this company to anyone.  These owners need lessons in leadership and process orientation.  The store blames the warehouse, the services are subcontracted and the owners blame them and there is no communication strategy in place to run the business.

Even after contacting the owner we're still waiting for something to happen. The flooring presents a tripping hazard in spots. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ROCHESTER LINOLEUM & CARPET CO.
