Price: Was in-line with (2) other quotes, we chose the contractor for scheduling preference. After receiving quote, we presented their 20% off coupon from the local PennySaver but were told they had already given their best price.
Quality: We were expecting (2) exterior stain coats via brush application, but contractor showed up with spray equipment for this job. Unfortunately we were never informed they used sprayers, nor did we ask specifically. Our mistake... Caveat Emptor. Had we known, I would not hired them as I feel brushing generally provides better coverage and penetration. Contractor sprayed a second coat of stain immediately on the same area after the first coat barely had time to flash dry, "to avoid having to set up ladders again". Some spraying was done in windy conditions, resulting in over spray on white clad window and door trim that was not fully cleaned off. Sections of siding and trim have spots of insufficient coverage where the original stain or paint still shows through, obviously not two coats applied there. Since spraying is supposed to use MORE product than brushing but the amount of stain used was substantially less (30%) than estimated by Sherwin Williams, we are now left wondering just how much of the house actually received two complete coats, what if anything was properly back-brushed, or how long this particular stain job will ultimately last. Front door was closed with tacky paint, which left marks around door face perimeter from weatherstrip. I had to buy, re-key and install a replacement deadbolt lock broken when contractor removed to paint front door. I had to provide correct galvanized, ring shank siding nails for siding repair after noticing improper use of uncoated finishing nails.

Responsiveness:
Poor communication overall. Made a total of (6) calls to contractor to address 'issues', with half of calls not returned.
Punctuality: Work did not start on schedule, plus additional non-weather related 'no show' delays during the project. We were offered and rec'd a $300 credit for this.
Professionalism: Having been paid all but $250 of the agreed upon price, contractor walked off the job leaving several unfinished or unresolved items. Ie., when pointing out that gaps between the chimney or brick face and siding were not caulked, we were told that was never included in the price... despite having mentioned this during estimate and the actual contract specifying "caulk any gaps and cracks where needed". Soffit vent never repaired or shutters re-installed.
Bottom line:  Way too much drama and hassle for a sub-par job, based on our experience we would not recommend.
Special Note: Do not confuse this contractor (Finger Lakes Painting and Cedar Home Restoration) with Finger Lakes Painting (a similar sounding but separately owned company).

Finger Lakes Painting and Cedar Restoration visited my home to give a quote to stain the exterior of the home, the deck, a separate storage shed and about a hundred feet of fencing. They spent about an 3/4 hours to review the site and spoke about what great painters they were. They left and never sent a quote to do the work. I called their business phone about a week later and left a message asking about the status of the quote. They didn't have the courtesy to return the call to say they weren't interested.

My house is 40 ft. high put two coats of paint and primer, just did a wonderful job. He was prompt, on time and neat. He just did an excellent job. A few things I had questions about, he took care of it right away.
