Actual Chimney is great to work with. I had a chimney area in my attic to replace; it was crumbling away. They have some app to help streamline and I just wasn't comfortable with it (I'm a novice with apps) and they were fine with that. Tim was great (big understatement) and got the job done and done well. He let me take pictures along the way (to show my husband) and told me what he was doing and why because I had asked, I had no idea what was happening and how bad it really was. True, we were shocked at the quote, but it made sense and, as the work progressed, made even more sense. This work will last a very long time. I would recommend Actual Chimney highly.

Tim did a great job lining our chimney at a lower price than the others. Not only did he do a great job, but he's also a genuine nice guy which made it a pleasure to hire him. There were a lot of challenges such as having a slate roof and enclosed area in the basement that other chimney specialists barked at me about but to him it was no problem. I would definitely use Tim in the future.

Tim was great. I had called him for a quote on something else, but decided I'd really like to have a. chimney cleaned while he was here. He was very accommodating, and did the cleaning and inspection while he was here.

Tim was prompt, 8:00 am appointment, arrived about 6 minutes early. He finished cleaning my Class A stainless steel Insulated double chimney for my indoor woodstove. I called yesterday 1/9/17 and he slotted me in for 8:00 am today 1/10/17. I excepted. Then I canceled the appointment within an hour or so. Home Advisor Representative I called yesterday that I was cancelling as I chose someone closer to my home. Home Advisor Representative said they would cancel it and I didn't need to call Tim back. I scheduled an appointment with in town business where I purchased the stove 4 years ago. Appt set for 11 am today 1/10/17. Tim came on time, did a great job, I paid him and then relit my stove. My stove was seeping smoke into our house at night when I dampened it down for a long over night burn. Last few nights we had to open windows during the middle of the night and I would have to open my damper all the way in order to create the expected draft. Here's the kicker. Tim saw what I was using to clean my chimney, which I did 4 days ago, thus my confusion. I called Home Advisor, they didn't cancel as I requested and Tim came did the job and charged a fair price for 30 minutes of excellent work. My company shows at 11 am on time, confused as to why I thought Tim was them??? Pretty funny, it turns out my companies sub contractor knows my younger son! So of course now I have to get him a six pack. Invited him over this Friday night after work because he didn't get paid. Now I have been waiting for a manger from Home Advisor to call me back for hours. I would be ware of Home Advisor. Just call Tim directly. Save yourself the headache. What a great guy!

I was called to make an appointment for the work in a timely manner. He came when the appointment was scheduled. He mentioned a few things that needed to be done with the chimney, but didn't pressure me to get it done right away .

Professional, friendly and showed up on time (in our area that alone is amazing). We had the chimney cleaned and inspected. Tim also gave me an estimate on some repairs. Prices were fair for work done and for the estimate work.

Tim tore down and rebuilt two chimneys for me. I live in a very old house with an original slate roof. Tim's comment was "I love a challenge"! He did exceptional work for me!

Tim and Josh and the other guys on this team are just flat out awesome. They succeeded in fixing two leaky chimneys in my 1910 Arts & Crafts home where other contractors had failed. Their techniques and craftsmanship match the house and they take great pride in their work. On top of all that Tim's sense of customer service is top notch and his team is friendly and skilled. I spent a little bit more on these guys and it was worth it.

Tim & his team spent 2 months refurbishing much of the masonry and chimneys on our 1790 Federal style home. Actual Chimney Specialists repointed much of the exterior of the building, rebuilt the arbors on both roof ends, rebuilt two chimneys, refurbished & lined four fireplaces, a preexisting brick oven (built in 1790) that we uncovered in the dining room. He installed custom flashing along the rear repaired wall adjoining the main building and installed a steel basement trap door that was missing. Tim is a can-do guy. He is extremely knowledgable and loves what he does.
