Used provider each year in a paid contract for 7 years for opening and closing sprinkler and fixing broken heads. I did not renew automatically this fall but decided to wait until spring to see it I wanted to have them opened (due to can't use them half the time with the town drought). I recently called to schedule appointment for opening sprinklers and turning off certain zones that were now not needed due to construction we would be having (called him the minute I knew about the construction). I asked if they could come within a week. It was not received well. Was told had other customers who scheduled that had contracts. I was an on-time, paying contracted customer for 7 years. He gave me a date 9 days away and could not accommodate me. The job is a 30 minute job. His demeanor was one of annoyance. Nevertheless I scheduled the appointment being loyal to this same company.
On the day of appointment he called to cancel 30 minutes before due to rain which I understand, BUT wanted to reschedule me a week and a half away again knowing it was an issue with time. I told him I didn't think I should be pushed that far back behind other customers and that I need someone sooner or I would have to look else where due to construction starting. I have been a long time customer but the minute I decrease my services (not renew contract and shut zones instead of rerouting $$) he treated me disrespectfully and was rude on the phone.. He said "find somebody else, have a nice day" and hung up. This is not how you treat a customer who pays you immediately and never gives you a problem. You try to help them when they need help. I will not give my business to a company who doesn't appreciate a longtime customer.
