I thought I had another month to go on my inspection, but I realized I was wrong a few days late. So of course on a Sunday afternoon I attempted to fix a bad thermostat that was giving me a check engine light ( and would cause me to fail the inspection ). It turns out that one of the bolts was stripped, and I didn't have the time or the means to try and replace it. I spoke with Chris at Wood's Automotive and explained that I had tried to fix something on my own, I had the parts to replace it, but I just couldn't get it done with my set of tools. Chris said it wasn't a problem, he was happy to use the thermostat and gasket I had purchased, and could fit me in later in the week. A few days later, the vehicle was dropped off the night before my appointment, and I was able to pick it up the following afternoon. During the inspection, it was discovered that one of the license plate lights was out due to some corroded wiring, and it was replaced at a very reasonable cost. While I try to do most of the work to my vehicles myself, it was great to find a mechanic who was willing to take on one of my failed projects.
