"Unfortunately there was a miscalculation of the total attic area as an additional attic was not originally counted. The time and materials required could not have been absorbed due to restrictions within the NYSERDA / LIPA program which prohibits participating contractors from providing free services on top of the 35% in rebates which they grant to customers. It should be noted that this was a measure that would have been included on the original work scope if not for the oversight, and when installed provides additional energy savings. While rare, there are instances where work scopes need to be modified to include additional items or omissions. As Building Performance Institute Certified Contractors we are required to test our work at completion and such an oversight would have been corrected at that point had it not been pointed out by the homeowner. We regret the inconvenience this caused our customer and value their criticism as we strive to further our existing reputation as a contractor who cares about their clients and is committed to their complete satisfaction."
