Sullivan County's economy is so decrepit that it has only one obvious concrete supplier, and that one doesn't offer mix-on-site metered delivery. I called Woodard's, over 40 miles away in adjacent Orange County, figuring they wouldn't deliver in my town, but I was wrong. Their price, for a 3-5 cubic yard delivery was higher than the local supplier, but with the important benefit of paying only for what I actually needed, rather than estimating high and wasting the excess. The delivery was set for less than 48 hours later and Wayne, the driver, arrived over 30 minutes early. He was very patient and helpful -- unusual for concrete drivers -- and the pour went very smoothly. He was more interested in giving us what we needed, where we needed it than just dumping his load and running. The office staff failed to give me all the pricing details making the invoice a bit higher than the quote, so get confirmed totals for your range of quantities. I paid for 3.5 cubic yards, whereas with non-metered delivery I would have had to buy the 5 yards at the high end of my estimate AND have a big chunk of hardened junk concrete left on the lawn. All in all, dealing with Woodard's was an unexpected delight. On the basis of my one experience, I can recommend them highly.
