Prices are outrageous, but I'm a sucker for fast Internet, and high-quality TV, and for only a small fraction less, I could decrease both Internet and TV greatly by going (back) to Time Warner.  FiOS Customer Service is good, and readily available via Twitter, Chat, or Phone.

The service is excellent however their pricing practices are out of line, they tried to sell me a pkg that ended up costing me almost 100 dollars more per month than what they told me over the phone.  Not to mention the hidden charges like installation fees and equipment costs.  I was very unhappy and ended up taking it to the BBB. I did get a resolution and a refund of overages, but it really makes me mad that I had to go through all of that to get what I was told I was getting. But I do have to say the Services are great and so much better than TWC which I had for 30 years.

Since cancelling TV service they keep sending a bill for the DVR. Numerous requests to deduct $757 for the returned DVR go ignored. I have documentation from UPS for the return. Apparently I am not the only one whom they have tried to scam.

Moving into a new apartment only wired for Verizon FiOs I was hesitant about starting an unfamiliar service, but they made it an absolute breeze. I opted to install my internet and cable myself because they are awesome enough to use the incentive of a $50 gift card to a store you can choose from a very decent sized list in return. The set up was ridiculously easy to follow and finish and I was able to enjoy cable and internet in less than an hour with a programmed remote, DVR set up, and a custom wifi name and password. Nothing to say in regards to customer service, but that is because I ahve yet to need to contact them because my service has been phenomenal thus far. Have experienced absolutely zero outages or list signals due to storms and that is something I really saw problems with using Time Warner. All in all, Verizon FiOs offers an incredible service for both cable and internet, and I assume phone too but I do not currently use that service.

They are excellent in price in terms of the double play for internet and phone. I have had no technical issues. The quality of the service is great, and I would call it a 99.9% reliable network. This is definitely a better price than what I have paid for Time Warner for similar service. FIOS is available 24/7 for customer service and billing. Time Warner did not have that availability. Compared with Time Warner, I think they're about 150% of the quality.

The house I purchased had been wired for Verizon Fios previously by the prior owner, but I was a Time Warner cable customer at the time. I decided to try Verizon Fios after receiving a notice that Time Warner's rates were increasing again, and it just so happened that Verizon had two sales reps in my neighborhood that week. They were able to answer my questions as well as give me an estimate of my bill, including discounts for package pricing and equipment. Installation was fast and smooth, as the equipment was already in place, and the technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. At one point, he was short one piece of equipment, but was able to return with it from a facility only several blocks away. He explained all the new features, as well as answered some questions I had about access, security and ease of use. He even hid the cords from a wall-mounted tv over a doorframe to the new set top box on a dresser. I was very satisfied with the whole process.
