 + -1 moreI saw Dr. McGrath the first time. He was very abrupt, and as it turned out wrong with the diagnosis. He claimed it could only be "avascular necrosis" and it turned out to be moderate to marked arthritic changes. He was abrupt, did not keep his appointments (I was handed off to another PA when I had requested and scheduled an appointment with him). I got a letter a week before I was scheduled to see him for follow-up saying that I would be seen by a PA because McGrath was not going to be available ("change in schedule"). The cortisone shot was administered by two people who spent the entire time talking to each other and ignored me completely. I was awake and nervous. I found another (wonderful) orthopaedic surgeon and have had a very successful hip resurfacing. I wouldn't recommend Dr. McGrath to anyone.
Description of Work: An appointment to look at X-rays for a painful hip, followed by an MRI, followed by a cortisone shot, followed by an appointment with Dr. McGrath which I cancelled because he suddenly was "unavailable" the week of the appointment. I saw a PA for the follow up with the MRI and a nurse practitioner did the cortisone shot.
