Steve Oryszha made several promises when I signed the contract. He made it sound like he was going to do much more than he actually did: I wanted my whole lawn redone but he only patched part of it and left some areas unattended, bare spots or weeds with crabgrass which he promised he'd get rid of. He did put in the flowerbeds as instructed His work is very messy, leaving mulch stains on my patio and indented tire tracks from a bald tire on his truck in my driveway. His timing was terrible. I hired him in April 14, 2011 gave him half the amount he asked for $350.00 and I didn't hear from him until Mother day in May as he came unannounced with a lawn roller asking If I wanted the lawn rolled for $50.00. I said yes. I didn't see him after that until June 17, 2011 at 4pm after my company was there for a cookout. I told him to start work anyway since I never knew If I was going to see him again as he never returned calls or answered his cell. He spent about 4 hours not all of it working, He would be next door talking to a neighbor and across the street talking to that neighbor and he even took a walk up the street to tops to get a pop. I told him to please stay forcused and get some work done on my property. He said he would be back next day (Sunday) at 9am I didn't see him until 2pm that day. He did some more yard work and left. Three or four days would go by and no work from Steve. I would call a leave messages to no avail. He finally completed to work, flower beds, muclhed and planted three small dogwood tress (not the ones I originally orderded ant that were in my contract but I wanted him gone. I gave him bal of check and he left a mess. I Cleaned up after him , then that night I stopped payment on bal of check. One week later he came in back yrd and dug up the three small tress he planted.(my neighbor saw him) I was at work. I called the police a made a report they suggested small claims court. He never did give me referneces that I asked for in the beginning. First clue.
Description of Work: Steve Oryszha made several promises and broke them, he is very unreliable. I had hired him to do some yard work and he gave me an estimate. This was in April 12, 2011. we agreed he would put in flowerbeds along the perimeter of my backyard, plant flowers and three redtwig dogwood trees and redo my whole lawn, replant grass seed throughout the lawn since it was covered with crabgrass and weeds and had a lot a bare spots. He did not redo the lawn he only went over couple of bare spots (tilled it) and threw some grass seeds on it and left. That was the last I saw of him as I paid him that day he said he was done.
