Started on time with the proper equipment. Was not impressed when the skid steer ruptured a hydraulic hose and blew hydraulic fluid on my new vinyl house siding. During the process of removing the old driveway my 6 month old siding on the house was damaged, my new garage door (7'x16') metal was dented and my new garage floor pad was chipped. No excuse for damaging my siding, door or concrete. Before the walkway was poured I asked the owner if he was going to make sure the forms for the curved walkway had a nice even radius to them. He assured me that they would correct the forms. The pour was completed and the curved walkway looked terribile. No nice clean curve to it, just wavy! The angles on my approach were not the same and one side of my driveway was not straight. Was told the grass will hide it! The finish looked good and water ran away from the house, good job there. The winter of 2012-2013 the driveway faired well, except for the part aginst the house where the finished surface of the concrete broke off. In the Spring I backfilled with topsoil and planted grass. All was good except for damaged siding, dented garage door, chipped garage pad and pieces missing against my house. This past winter 2013-2014 was a rough one. Very COLD and LONG. My new driveway did not fair so well. The pad in front of my garage lifted two inches. When the concrete pad lifted it damaged my garage siding, garage door trim and house siding. Getting an estimate to repair that damage. My new driveway less than two years old has many cracks and still has not settled down to the original pour. I feel that the concrete pour should have been away from any of the finished siding and not under it or directly against it, since I was told concrete will heave. Not sure why my pad lifted so much, maybe not enough stone under it, that is what I was told by other concrete people. All I know is it's looks terrible. .
