I have been using Peerless Air Conditioning and Heating Co. for all of my heating and air conditioning needs for years, starting even before their transition to Terry, the current owner. In 1994, Peerless installed a high-efficiency furnace, hot water tank, and power vents, replacing the ancient units that came with my "Victorian-style" house when I purchased it. In 2000, Peerless installed a larger, industrial-size water tank at my request, to accommodate the needs of a new, much larger bathtub. In 2012, Terry and his crew replaced the older, Peerless-installed furnace with a newer, even more efficient furnace, this time with long-overdue built-in air conditioner--and all associated piping, venting, gas, and electrical. Most recently (August 2014), when I wanted to lower my gas water-heating bills, I had Peerless replace my large old water tank--which they'd installed and which was still running well--with one of the new tankless water heating systems, for which they once more took care of all associated piping, venting, gas, and electrical work. For EACH of these installations, I received a solid estimate with prompt, on-schedule, courteous, and efficient service. To say I am "happy" with Peerless is an understatement--I am COMPLETELY, CONSISTENTLY SATISFIED with their work whenever I need their assistance. In addition to the major work mentioned above, I use Peerless for annual inspections/maintenance of my heating, air conditioning, and water heating systems, to ensure that everything is running well for the winter--it always is. (During one particularly bad winter, when external gas pressure dipped on my street and my furnace acted up, I placed a call to Peerless and they checked it out that same evening, verifying that the problem was with the gas company, not my systems.) I feel it also is worth noting that I have never had a "sales pitch" or ever felt "pressured" by Peerless into any unexpected improvements over the years. I really can't recommend their work--and their work ETHIC--highly enough.
Showed up on time and surprised me how quickly the new furnace was installed. The only problem I am having is that after two weeks I still do not have the correct paperwork that I need for the energy credit. Company claims they mailed it but it was never received. They claim to have mailed a replacement that I have yet to receive. I will update this review when I receive the paperwork needed.
Update: After waiting while the post office screwed up the owner (Terry) hand delivered the necessary paperwork so I could file for the rebate.
