MICHAEL O'SULLIVAN PAINTING

Before finding Mike on Angie's list, I had called half a dozen guys to find someone to take the (rather easy) job of painting the porch. I couldn't get a single call back from anyone else on the Angie's painter list. Then I went through a few friends to get some names. Those painters weren't interested in taking the job. It's not easy working with contractors when I don't live in town. They don't tend to like not meeting the homeowner in person, and more than a few have told me they don't trust they'll be paid. Mike, however, is a very nice guy and very pleasant to work with. He estimated the job, at a fair price. I signed the contract. But when complications arose in setting up arrangements with the tenant, he decided not the take the job. The tenant wanted to talk to him for reassurance that the dust and chips would be under control, as she has a toddler. He very nicely referred me to another painting company (not on Angie's list) and they did the job. Even though he passed the work on, he remained in contact, surveyed the work they did, and followed up with me. I paid him, as I had a contract signed with him.

My call was returned promptly, the estimate was given promptly, the work was scheduled and performed as arranged. Efficient, prompt, neat.
