Delivery of my purchase was three hours late. I called customer service after it was two hours late. I was put on hold for 50 minutes and after that wait was told the delivery driver had two more stops before coming to my house. Terrible service. Will never buy from Lowe's again.

I ordered a front door with installation through Lowe’s the sales guy was great came out was informative I thought I was making a good choice. However every experience after the sales person has been awful. I ordered this door the end of August. Instal date has been pushed back twice, but they call and “checked in” so all should be good right.. anyways so I finally got the call last week door will be in soon and the contractor will contact me… Hahahaha how gullible I must be! Because the contractor never called and instead they attempted to deliver a door to my house in a snow storm and tell me there leaving it by my garage!! I’m sorry what … your leaving my absurdly expensive door in a snow pile at my house ! Yeah no that’s not happening !! So than I call and try to figure this all out and behold my surprise when LOWES gave not one f***! Absolutely not one little f*** about it! AMAZING.. however tell did tell me to have a wonderful day and to call back with any other issues… wait what…. You haven’t even helped me with this ISSUE! Needless to say i strongly encourage you to go ANYWHERE OTHER THAN LOWES unless you want to pay for something that never gets installed but gets delivered to a snow pile.

Fencing Service

If you’re thinking about going through Lowes for a fence installation, don’t!! I started the process in April of 2020. Installation was not until November through their subtractors, who was a bunch of kids. The fence was poorly installed. It ended up breaking with the panels blowing out. When I first called the lady told me to go through my house insurance, the fence was barely 4 months old. They finally sent someone out to look at the fence, a whole different installer who originally did it. He said that the original installer got dropped from Lowes due to quality issues. He shows me all the things the original installer did wrong and put in a work order and reassured me my concerns were valid and that the fence needed to be completely redone. Months go by and I haven’t heard anything so I call Lowes and they sent out a different company from the guy who came to do the work order to fix the fence. What this company did was an actual band aid to the real problem. You can hear my fence rock back and forth at night, the panel they “fixed” blew out two weeks later and all they did was use nails and caulk and called it a day. When I called again they gave me the run around and finally told me since it’s out of warranty I am out of luck. A one year warranty on a fence that took a year for them to install poorly, is ridiculous. A fence is not cheap and the quality of work they completed does not look like “professionals” did it. Me and my family could’ve probably done a better job. Very upset and Lowes will NEVER see my business ever again.

The first week of April I purchased a 250 foot fence with an 8 foot gate from Lowe’s on Transit Road in Amherst through a man named Andrew. Although he told me it would only be 3-4 weeks for the install the fence was not installed until the last week of June, roughly 7 weeks after I was told. The gate wasn’t installed on that day, however, because I was told the parts went missing and had to be reordered. After 4-5 weeks of calling the store to inquire, the parts were finally delivered to my home the first week of August and the gate was installed a week or two later. The gate that was installed, however, was not a residential privacy fence that I had discussed with Andrew, instead looking like something you see behind businesses to hide dumpsters. Along with this, there are bolts, nails and sharp pieces of metal that are sticking out, posing a hazard to anyone not careful around the gate. I’ve contacted the store as well as customer service (both online and over the phone) but haven’t had a resolution. Andrew hasn’t contacted me about fixing his mistake and I’ve only gotten apologies from corporate. Desperate to at least have the means to put up the gate I had asked for, I told customer service that I would take a reimbursement of the metal used to build the gate and just redo it myself. The response was that I had to sign a non-discloser agreement which effectively ended any responsibility they would have with the gate and which would bar me from writing any reviews. Instead, I took my complaint the Better Business Bureau and was told the store would contact me by the end of the month. If my fence ordeal wasn’t bad enough, I also ordered two doors from Lowe’s which were installed in the middle of August. I’ve had issues with the weather stripping and contacted the store about this. I was told they would order the part but after two weeks of not hearing from them I called customer service. A day later I got a call from the store telling me that the part came in a week ago and that the installer was supposed to call me. So far it’s been a week and I haven’t heard back from them. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone through another company in a heartbeat. Dealing with these issues as well as my summer effectively being ruined by the snail’s pace at which everything is done has caused me a great deal of stress and many sleepless nights. I just want the nice gate I asked for.

I paid Lowes for roofing work, they sent out their subcontractors to do the work ,and they did a horrible job. I called Lowes several times to file a complaint about the horrible job and they have yet to even come out and look at the job.

Professional from the start. Ordered the service and faucet in the store. Dave and manager Kevin were very helpful. Kevin even went on the truck to get the faucet that had just come in. Mike the plumber set up the installation the same day, albeit a vacancy opened up. Had it installed the next day. Everything went beyond my expectations. The faucet was installed properly and is working great.

They did a great job. There was a bit of a problem with some of the items that were to be delivered. However it was resolved. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again for future projects.

Communication was excellent.  Installer arrived on time and finished job in expected amount of time.  The only negative is that they had to replace some interior wood molding which was fine but the installer did not mention it to me - I found out after he had left when I was checking out the new windows.

Excellent, the sales person was great. He spent alot of time with me. The installers were professional and fast. They were even nice enough to save all the parts from my old storm door that I was using on my back porch.

I purchased a Lawn Mower from Lowes. One mow after I bought it, it stopped working. I took it to Lowes, as advised by them, to have it repaired under warranty. I signed a form full of small print, but I was told they would call me when its fixed. A few weeks later they called me and said the mower was done. I went to pick it up and they told me I owed approximately $80 for work done that was not covered by the warranty. Apparently the form I signed, when dropping off the mower, stated I agreed to and quot;pre-approveand quot; up to $90 of non warranty work. If the non-warranty work exceeded $90 then, and only then, they will call you to obtain authorization. IF you decline to pay over $90 for what they claim is wrong with your mower, then you have to pay a processing fee. WHAT A JOKE! Unless your willing to allow a 3rd party company(not lowes themselves)the ability to fix what they please or decline the work (and pay a fee) they will not take your mower. The third party repair company changed the oil and air filter and I was charged about $80 (the mower only cost $200). The mower was brand new and didn't need these repairs. In addition they were simple items that I would/could do myself. After reading the agreement, for which I signed, out loud to the manager I asked and quot; Why would Lowes ever agree to allow this policyand quot;, as it seems semi fraudulant. The only thing he said was and quot;you signed itand quot;. I asked if the employees were trained to explain the document to customers when dropping off a mower and quot;under warrantyand quot; and he said and quot;yesand quot;. No employee explained it to me and half way down the page there is a spot to initial in agreeance. I never initialed it which clearly showed that no one explained this deceptive practice to me. This policy of theirs is contrast to the definition of a warranty. Of course a third party repair company, whose guaranteed up to a $90 reimbursement from Lowes for repairs not related to the warranty, is going to repair/clean/replace something. Its in their best interest and their protected by Lowes. Why would Lowes ever allow a third party company to have complete control over their customer's and quot;warranteedand quot; items and allow them to make repairs up to $90 via a deceptive pre-approval document, that you are forced to sign, if you want warranty related service. I can't prove it, but OF COURSE that company is going to abuse/take advantage of their power and change peoples oil and air filter at $80 if or if not needed. Is this repair company connected to Lowes down the chain somehow and thus increasing profits? I just don't understand why a company would have such a financially friendly policy towards a non-related third party repair company at the financial cost of their customers. ** Lowes is suppose to use their size to help/protect their customers when encountering a sketchy repair company, NOT use their size to enforce a policy that actually aids the and quot;3rd party repair companyand quot; to make substantially more income by giving them the freedom and power to virtually repair anything (or not repair something, but you pay a processing fee) at the Lowes' customer's expense. They virtually hold your warranty hostage by putting you in a situation where you either agree to allow a third party to repair whatever they want, regardless if its under warranty and free or not under warranty and you have to pay for it, or we will not honor the item's warranty. Any lawyers that read this, I would like to start a class action law suit against lowes for this, in my opinion, fraudulant policy.
