I can enjoy my back deck now without any pesky yellow jackets., mosquitos or flies.  Also, the additional length added to the metal rings makes it far easier to attach my drop down canvas awning sides to the metal poles when expecting rain.  I can now enjoy my deck during the evening and during a thunder storm. My awning, additional canvas sides and screening adds an additional room to my home during the summer months.  Anther "perk" is that my home stays cooler because the awning keeps the hot sun at bay.

Two awnings were installed..one for the front deck, another, a permanent one for the side door.
The work was done quickly and professionally. The fabric is very good quality as well as the stitching. The awnings add a lovely look to the house, as well as protect somewhat from the sun's rays if seated on the deck.

I do not find, however, that there is a 10 degree difference in the heat within the house with the awnings. Also, I was dismayed to find that my bathroom window no longer could open more than 3 or 4 inches due to the configuration necessitated by the roof's slope and therefore the metal frame for the awning. That was not a known factor prior to installation.

Finally, the office's mistake with removal and storage dates, for which the sum of $168.00 is charged each season. I was quickly told it was my error, when inquiring, when it was actually an office- generated one.

They were informative and when I had a problem they sent someone out to rectify problem. Salesman was very helpful when he came out to give me actual estimate and he had good suggestions and did not push any items on me. I have scheduled them to come out to take down and store the awning and also to put the awning up in the spring. They have done awnings in my townhome community and everyone is pleased with them. I went with them primarily because of reputation.

Their service is great,and they come when they say. Also,they call first,to make sure any gates are unlocked and the pets are safe. The crew who put up and take down the awning are very respectful of both the customer and their property. I highly recommend them for their quality of materials and work.

First, it went very well. I called their office, made an appointment, the sales person came to my house on time and did the estimate. We negotiated and finally I decided to use them instead of their competitor. Up to this point, everything was perfect. Two weeks later, their crew came over and installed the frame. The next day, I found out the frame was positioned incorrectly. The edge post was installed in a way that would caused rain to run directly onto the deck. This was not done according to the original drawing nor was done with common sense. So I called the salesperson to explain to him that he probably needs to send the crew to fix it. He immediately got aggravated and his response was very absurd. --and quot;I have some many customers to take of and I just don't have time! and quot; I can't promise when I will be able to come overand quot; and quot; I can't promise when the crew can come and quot;. I responded to him: well, you have so many customers to take care of, but don't you think you should take care of them well one at a time? I ended the call, asking him to call me when he and quot;findsand quot; time. This was most frustrating part of the whole thing. The frame was installed incorrectly and the salesman was such a pain. I was extremely disappointed. Interestingly, two days later. Got a call from the salesman. He acknowledged the mistake, blamed the crew and began to provide solutions.So at the end, the awning was finally fixed, leaving some patches on the roof and on the sidings.
Overall, if it wasn't for the wrong positioning and lousy attitude the salesman had in the beginning, my experience would've been well with them. Therefore I decided to rate it C instead of F. I didn't rate the and quot;professionalismand quot; and quot;Fand quot; but a and quot;Dand quot;, because the salesman did acknowledge his mistake and made effort to correct it.

Design was well done and worked well with the house. The owner was clear as to the limitations of the product and fair in his assessments. Price was high but not unreasonable. The installer did an adequate job but with little or no communication, just showed up and put the awning on unexpectedly when no one was home to oversee. Did not arrive as promised to discuss measurements before installation. Complaints about this were met with a shrug by the company with no follow up. I am too nervous about the company's attitude to comfortably use their services in the future.

They came out today to install an awning. There was a small problem, but I think we will be satisfied as their sales person came out to rectify it. We have used them about the last 30 years in different locations and it has been a wonderful service. They are very professional, I believe it is also family owned which is very good.

I like Kohler. They are a specialty awning place. The work they did for me was pretty hard so I was real impressed with them. They are very dependable and I also think their prices are quite fair.

I would definitely hire Kohler Awning again. They are super to work with. They gave me many different options to help me decide what colors and styles would work best with my porch. I was very pleased.

We got a quality awning from Kohler Awning. The workmanship of the installation was good and they were clean workers, picking up their mess. The only negative was that it was above average in cost, but we were satisfied and would probably hire them again.

Kohler Awning did a great job. We were very satisfied with the work, and are getting them back to do some more. They are nice people to work with.

I have been fairly pleased with our awning. The work was great, and the price was good as well. The only issue I had was that they finished the work 4-5 days later than they said they would finish.
