 + -1 moreI had a pond installed in 2005 by the same company. This is why I trusted Alan to perform the work as he had last year. I soon learned that trust should only go so far. It was one lie after another and one cover up after another. My Memorial Day Picnic was ruined and had to be cancelled, because the work was not completed as promised. And there were several promise dates. The only complaint I had was a leaking pond. The issue was never resolved by K & A Pond, because after the Outdoor Kitchen experience the owner refused to come on my property.Outdoor bar was not square or at the height requested. I was forced to find a reputable pond company(Second to None)to resolve my leaking pond issue. I had to spend another $1000.00.The reputable pond company found the leak along with several mistakes made by K&A Pond(cut power cords, no Bio Box, unnecessary ultra-violet light to kill algae, etc.)I would say "Buyer Beware" and check with previous customers before signing a loose contract.
Description of Work: On March 2, 2006 a deposit was made for $2000.00 on work described in a contract between both parties. Work was to begin in early April as described in contract on the outdoor kitchen. Deposit was made in order for company to purchase Uni lock blocks. No blocks were ever purchased until work actually started on May 9th 2006. Work was already 4 weeks late. Weather was NOT an issue. It was later stated to me as the customer that getting ponds started up for the season was more important than my outdoor kitchen. Then another $700.00 was requested on May 21, 2006. I repeatedly asked for the owner to come and see me because of changes to the original drawings to no avail. Work was finally finished on May 30th, 2006. The owner accused me, the CUSTOMER,of being unappreciative and sped out of my driveway upon final inspection of the work performed. The next day the owner was going to comp the remainder of the job only to renig with a very nasty letter to me, the CUSTOMER. Bal. was paid to K&A.
