 + -1 moreHSBC has been good to work with regarding the paying off of the mortgage. Even if we are a few days late with the payment, the late fee is modest, only about $5. When we initially got the mortgage, they were also good to work with. The agent even negotiated with our lawyer on our behalf for a lower legal fee, and helped us deal with our somewhat complicated financial situation. We also got an awesomely low fixed interest rate.
Description of Work: We bought our first house through HSBC, which worked with the SHOP Buffalo program.

 + -1 moreWe feel like we got the best mortgage we could get at the time. Everyone we worked with there was very helpful and accommodating. We thought they handled everything in a very professional and friendly manner. We didn't have to pay them anything and I believe we have the best rate that was available at that time.
Description of Work: HSBC handled our first mortgage and they still carry the mortgage. They answered all our questions and explained everything to us.
