Only thing that saved us at all was that I wrote a very detailed contract which David Surdej, owner of Glorified Development, signed but then tried to ignore numerous times . Told 4-6 weeks and it was over 6 months. Horror story from day one when they broke water line and flooded finish basement (happened a second time later), Ripped out our drainage system and threw in dumpster ($2000 damage), foundation wrong, they couldn't read blue prints which resulted in a 1 pitch (flat) roof when it was suppose to be 4 pitch, then put shingles on roof. Too numerous to list all the mistakes etc. Crew changed every day, unprofessional and inexperienced. No protective from outside elements or barriers between work area and other areas of home (plaster dust on 4 floors, in everything). Roof leaked at joining.
Subcontractors threatening to put lien on house because they weren't paid. Glorified's crew told us more than once that other jobs were same, whatever homeowner yelled the loudest to call lawyer got the crew that day. One worker told me many of his jobs kept thousands of dollars but doesn't seem to phase David Surdej.
I had to stay home all those months to supervise the project trying to meet contract and code. We were denied our CO due to no ventilation in crawl space and shingles on flat roof.
I took photos & videos throughout the entire process, together with documentation. We kept last draw and hired new people to repair many mistakes, some we have to live with. David Surdej never attempted to get final payment as I was very well prepared to go to court.
David Surdej is a con artist. The stress was unbearable. Wouldn't wish this company on worst enemy.
