Good price but late showing up, very disorganized and  messy group actually did the work. Debris and nails left all through my garden.   Applied goops of black tar to seal between the house and garage roof!  Almost immediately individual shingles started coming off then whole sections including the underlayment and it leaked like a sieve!  Had to get another complete roofing (from someone else!)  Truly a nightmare experience.

Poor job setup no drop clothes used, allowing debris to fall on to family room furniture.
Helper left in just after start of job to go to other site .No other worker to help lead man align sky lights from ground .Circular saw blade was literally too dull to  cut the ridge vent for the roof, worker had no replacement blade was frustrated with situation and time lost  .Proper venting probably incomplete unless he cut the vent  with his hammer!!. . I can not verify as I was trying to provide/locate a replacement blade while work was in progress.
.No clean up inside home.
End result poorly aligned windows, dubious vent install. No leaks yet ??

A crew of three worked for 4-5 days in extremely hot weather tearing off existing roof and installing new 30-year CertainTeed Landmark shingles with 6 ft of ice shield around edges. Rotten plywood was replaced as necessary. Work was done at a very reasonable price compared to large roofing companies who also bid the job. Labor guarantee is 3 years, which should be plenty. The crew found and corrected the source of an existing leak that apparently dated from construction of an addition by the previous owner. Cleanup was adequate. Appearance of finished roof is very good.

This was a huge project, made more complicated by the fact the the houses on both sides are quite close. They carefully protected both houses thoroughly with tarps and plywood at the bottom, and all went well. The neighbors were very concerned, but I think they were satisfied in the end. Gerry and Bill went out of their way to be sure the neighbors were happy. They did a great job of protecting our attic full of junk with tarps. Of course the whole process produced a lot of dust and huge amounts of old shingles. They cleaned up amazingly well. The great thing was that it was over with so quickly. We're very happy with the result, and Gerry assures us that he will come back to deal with any problems at no charge. There haven't been any problems so far, and we don't expect any.
