 + -1 moreIt went wonderfully. I know nothing about art so was grateful for all the advice, assistance, and patience I was given. The final product exceeded expectations. I never felt rushed as I dithered through the many options. I will definitely use this service again.
Description of Work: I had an art print matted and framed. UV protective glass was also provided.

 + -1 moreWe got good advice on framing a piece of artwork. Since the art was quite large (30x40 in.) we were advised to use a light metal, rather than a wood, frame. The work was competed promptly and to our satisfaction. I would certainly recommend them to others.

 + -1 moreIt is critical that the shop has the taste that is compatible with yours, as well as the necessary basic skill for frame construction. Though this shop let you do it yourself using their facility, I usually ask them to do the whole work after picking the material. Therefore, I cannot comment on the price differentials between doing it yourself and letting them do it for you. I seldom had disappointment with their work over the years.
Description of Work: I have been using this shop for all my framing needs well over 20 years, in part because the location is convenient. I am adding this shop to the list since we have no framing shops listed. I had them frame numerous original oil paintings, mono-types, reproductions, fabrics, etc., usually following discussions with the shop people after describing my sense of the appropriate color and style, and picking the frame material more or less together. The cost of the framing material is generally quite high in any shop(the one above is one of the less expensive ones), often much more than that of the pictures to be framed, but this could not be helped. Some of them had glass covers but others didn't, depending on the material to be framed. The last invoice I have from them is dated September 15, 2006, and the framed painting was picked up about 2 weeks later.
