Empire Chimney & Fireplace

Professional, timely, and fantastic outcome! Our chimney looks great!

Terrible. Neither chimney was cleaned. One because it didn't need cleaning and the other because there were bees in it. We paid for both chimneys to be cleaned. Contractor took the payment and said 'get rid of the bees and I'll come back and clean it". Contractor refused to clean it as he was allergic to bees. We had a contractor from another company clean the bee chimney with no issues. Empire chimney will not refund the payment we made for work that was not done. Spoke with Bob on the phone and he was downright nasty. Call Phil at 716-574-3402 and I can tell you exactly how bad this transaction was. He also told my wife about bats, chipmunks, squirrels, ants and other invaders that are attacking house. None of this was true but it was upsetting to her. Nothing that we contracted them to do was done but we were charged a hefty amount. Be warned. They will find things that scare you but are non-existent. You'd be foolish to hire this company.

It took a long time for them to come here. I was dealing with them last year. I was really upset because I waited for them. He came to the door and I didn't hear him knock. I don't have a bell. He never called me. I was really upset. They said it would take months and months for him to come back because he had so much work. That's exactly what happened. He did not get back here until April. He fixed it and he did a good job, but I'm afraid it didn't work. I don't think that was his fault. There is something wrong with the structure of the whole building.

Bob from Empire is very knowledgeable and professional.  He was prompt, honest and did a fantastic job on our chimney!  I would definitely hire him again!!

I called, he provided a quote and came to my home and did the work. He did an excellent job and cleaned up after himself.

Bob from Empire came out with his big truck and inspected our fireplace. It's been 2 years since we've moved in here and since our home inspection. Bob said he'd be happy to write something up formally but that our fireplace and chimney were in good shape (not great but good). Said we could go another year or twp before needing a flue clean or sweep and that the box looked in good enough condition. He was honest about how expensive running gas to it would be and said that the top of the chimney (outside) was rusted and should probably be replaced soon. We haven't been using our fireplace for 2 years, when in reality it was fine. I should have called them sooner. Very happy and liked Bob. Very honest and left without taking a single dollar from us. I will call them to replace the top in the spring (around $500).
This Christmas will be nice. Money in my pocket and lite fireplace with stockings. You can't be happier than having an honest contractor!

When you find a service organization that knows what it is doing, finds an ingenious way to resolve a tricky problem, tells you when they will do it and are punctual, does the job so that it will last for a good while without rebuilding the whole structure, and prices the job reasonably considering the time and materials used, you are speaking of this firm. I was extremely impressed with their work.

I had a great experience with Empire Chimney. The estimate was reasonable, there was no pressure to accept it, the two times I met with them (first to get the estimate and second to inspect and pay for the job), their employees were on time, courteous, helpful and thorough. I highly recommend this company.

Workers were professional, did exactly what they said they'd do and they cleaned up after each day.
