The only reason I went with another company is because all my friends had so highly recommended them. The quote was professionally done and the quality with which they handled the quote was just as good as the company I went with. I thought they were very good and I had to make a choice between two very good companies.

The service went very well. They did a great job packing and didn't damage any of my husbands artwork or anything else for that mater. The driver did the inventory, check off, and overseen the whole process. They were able to move us in good time, despite the weather as well.

Arrived on time, was very careful with furnishings, did not waste time, would absolutely use them again.

Tom Schratz estimated our cost perfectly, our final bill was actually lower than the original price.  Crew was on time, polite, clean & efficient.  This is the second time using Cooke United.

It was good.  There was a 3 man crew.  There were no damages.

The crew was very polite and careful with all of my belongings. Owner came out to do the actual walk-through and estimate and gave lots of great suggestions on how to cut costs & time. They even squeezed me in on a busy weekend because my job was a little smaller than most.
Overall, I was very pleased with their service and would use them again.

The estimate process was smooth, pleasant, and efficient. The salesman instilled confidence in us . ... Told us the guys that pack also deliver the items. The guys that packed the truck were professional and courteous. We were given a 10 day window of the truck would arrive at its destination. However the salesman had assured us it would be very early in the 10 day window. By day 5 we began calling our moving representative... She didn't return calls. Around day 6 we were told it would likely arrive the next day... But no confirmation call. We called the driver and he had been moved to another job. After several calls the stuff was delivered on day 8... In a Ryder truck by itself... Now why did that take so long?!! The delivery guys were not the same guys who packed the truck, but were also courteous and professional... Would look for another company in the future.

The estimate was $2100 then they charged me and additional $560.
Their initial estimate and final price were lower than most of the other companies.
Nothing was damaged.
They did dismantle our bookshelves and kept all of the pieces safe and organized.
We followed instructions on their website and it said to pack books in medium boxes and the gentlemen lugging the books in were not satisfied with how we packed them. It was a little unprofessional.

This was a good experience. They showed up with all of my belongings on time with nothing broken. Nice job.

On the day of the move, the guys showed up an HOUR LATE. They were nice enough, but they were painfully slow. They charged by the hour, so my cynical/probably correct side thinks that the dawdling was intentional. I mean, they painstakingly wrapped an old fiberboard cabinet in 5 layers of plastic (but not my antique armoire? They also didn't toss a bag over our mattress, which most movers will do as a courtesy). We moved the boxes ourselves, and a petite 32 year-old woman hefting a bin of canned goods should not be lapping a ?professional? mover carrying ONE solitary kitchen chair (they actually carried each chair one by one ? even I can safely carry two chairs at a time). I?ve used movers several times before, and never had it go so slowly, even when moving into a 3rd floor walk-up with a cramped spiral staircase.
Nothing got chipped or damaged.? but that?s kind of the point of hiring professional movers: they carefully and quickly move your stuff without breaking it. We only hired them to move the furniture, not our boxes. It should not have taken 7 hours (yes, 7) for what was contained in our apartment. In the end, the $92/hour was not worth it.
When I contacted them about this, I was told that since I wasn?t actually charged for the hour they were late, that they didn?t consider it a problem, and it was our fault the job took so long because we asked them to put some of our things in the attic. Would absolutely not use them again.

Cook Moving movers were very professional, polite, and fast. They did no damage. Placed boxes and furniture in their intended destinations. Came under the initial estimation and were prompt, fair, and honest in the final billing. I will use them again and highly recommend them. I picked Cook from a list of 4 potential movers (all 4 visited our home and provided estimates).

Everything was great. The move went very smoothly, and we encountered no problems.

They sent three men to pack the first day, and three movers the next. We were eager to find good movers for our kitchenware and other fragile items, and Cook was professional, fast, and took great care with our items. Not a single thing was broken. In addition, they were courteous and friendly--a pleasure to work with. The price was well worth the care they took and the pressure it took off me--I hate packing and moving. I would gladly hire them again.

Most companies gave me quotes over the phone. Yes, they were lower but were not in writing. I felt uncomfortable, trusting them with my mother's furniture. United Van Lines (called Liberty Trans. and Storage Co in NJ ) had a representative come to the house, look over everything, and explain all in detail. The price was about $1575 but I took extra insurance for $200. I was given extra boxes. The day of the move they were prompt and wrapped everything carefully in the blankets. The driver said he would do the drive, and see me in New Mexico. He even gave me his cell phone number to check on the progress. In New Mexico everything was delivered. There were few minor scratches which were taken care of promptly by the company. I was really very pleased and would highly recommend this company. You pay for what you get.

We had moved out of our old house and had to live in a hotel for a week. We had packed a lot ourselves, but they finished and did a nice job. We didn't have any problems when everything was delivered. everything was in good shape and not damaged. They were very patient with us when we were trying to place furniture. They didn't just put things in the room then leave. They made sure it was how we wanted it.

We are still in the process of getting the repair work estimated, but the actual move was average. They were over an hour late in New York because they didn t have the paperwork they needed, but they arrived in Chicago right on time. They wound up charging us a considerable amount more than they estimated.

THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH THEIR WORK. THEY DIDN'T BREAK ANYTHING, SO THEY WERE CAREFUL. THEY DID WHATEVER I TOLD THEM TO DO.
