Computer Discount Center

I realize that I was in a rush to have my computer fixed, however, after several years of getting my computer repaired at this business, I was really annoyed when the owner charged me $55 to determine the power cord was broken. Yes, I should have borrowed a cord and plugged it in, but I just didn't think a cord I purchased recently would be broken.  Ir was either buy a cord for $55 or he would charge me $55  for a cord I could purchase for much less.  When I asked if he first tried to test the cord by plugging it in, he replied that it could "blow out his whole system".  Seems to me that someone in the "business" of computer repair could problem solve enough to just plug it into a wall socket.  But, hey, since they charge you $55.00 just to look at the computer, why would he give me a break ?  I've been a customer of this company for at least 6 years, so I did not expect to hand over $55 for what could have been less than a minute of effort to plug it in.   Very unprofessional.  I have found a reputable place which charges less .
