ALL STAR MOVERS

I hired All Star Movers about 4 years ago to move two bedroom sets, one of which belonged to my Great-Grand parents, a desk, piano, washer & dryer, refrigerator.  I hired them because they would move the upright piano, they were reasonable and they were local. The crew of three men arrived when they said they would. I was the last move of the day. Over all things went fairly well. There was a small dent in the side of the refrigerator and I did have to call a repair man because the refrigerator did not cool below 40 degrees. He said the movers were probably a little rough with it.  All the repairman did was ?reset?  the computer, and it has been running fine since. The movers were  efficient, they removed their shoes so they didn't track in mud. They hooked up the washer & dryer. Plugged in the refrigerator and carefully set up both bedroom sets. Made some good suggestions. With a little bit of work, they did get the piano into the small den. The only negative ? beside the refrigerator ? was the ?youngest ? member of the crew complained bitterly from the time they arrived until they left. Would I hire them again ? probably.

Showed up on time and worked very very hard all day. Great guys and hard workers.

The movers where on time @ moved everything in one truck load which saved us money on a second trip.

Did not show up on time, approv 45 minutes late. Wrap protected only a fraction of the furniature. Numerous scratches on table, dresser and head board. The top portion of a mirrow was broken, nothing said, when discovered it was located under wraps in the floor of the van. While they were on top of pointing a broklen leg on a table, they did not report the damage done to the mirror or scratches. At all 3 sites, oil was dripping onto driveway and the movers knew it was happening, nothing said... Moral to the story, you get what you pay for.

The 2 movers were very friendly and polite and worked very hard. Unfortunately, we needed at least 3 men (which I told the scheduler I was willing to pay for if she thought it was needed), but they sent only 2. It was a very hot day (typical for August), I had a handful of heavy items (sofas, treadmill, lawyer's desk), and moved into a house set far back from the street (all of which I told the scheduler when I booked). The movers were exhausted early and complained quite a bit. I was sympathetic, but only to a point since I had been willing to pay for extra workers ultimately not sent by the company. I was also a little disappointed that they men left a few items behind in the first apartment (lamps, paper shredder, microwave, artwork), and left a few large scratches on the hardwood floors of the new place. If you hire this company, I would recommend that you keep a close eye on what they are doing and insist on things you want done. [Also: only one of the movers spoke English. Luckily, I speak Spanish, but it might be more frustrating to deal with them for someone who doesn't.]

They arrived on time and proceeded to start right away. They wrapped my TV and the glass TV stand carefully. The work was well done. I did not give them an A on Professionalism, because they did not put down temporary runners on the carpet.

Great job- hard workers, would recommend and call in the future.

They were polite and generally quite careful, although a few of the delicate pieces were not as well-padded as I'd have liked. They showed up a little late because they had trouble finding the apartment. Nothing at all was broken or damaged, and the price was within the range that I'd expected. The only odd thing was that the company doesn't provide boxes, so I had to buy boxes and bubble wrap, and even packing tape, myself. However, they did make it clear that this was the case beforehand.

Well, I've used All Star Movers twice, and I have to say, they work for you. They do what's in their means to make sure you're a satisfied customer.
