SavATree - Hudson Valley

I scheduled a fertilization and tree pruning in August 2021 to take place in September. SavaTree did the fertilization on time, but did not come back to do the pruning. Made multiple calls where I was told they would look into it and then I would not hear back. When I called for the third time in late October, I was told the pruning was scheduled for January 2022, but they may be able prune in late November. I cancelled at this point and asked for my deposit back. It is not good customer service to promise a date, not call back if the promised date can not be met, and also not get back to me when I call multiple times.

Deep fertilization of trees defoliate do by gypsy moths. Work was done efficiently and professionally. Would hire them again.

Gave a $230 deposit as the estimated invoice requested for removal of a tree and grinding of the roots. The deposit was submitted to Savatree on 6/13 and I've called the office several times requesting that someone from operations call or email an approximate date for the service, but to avail. Not great customer service!!!! I've requested a refund of my deposit so I can hire another arborist to do the job.

Large limb removal, heavy equipment all of which was done with care and precision.

I could not express what an outstanding job SavATree did on my property. They had to remove a extremely large tree that was right next to the back of my house. Cut back trees along the side of the house and after they started the job I asked if they could take out a tree on the corner of the property. THEY DID IT ALL!!!! The crew were pleasant, neat and extremely professional. FANTASTIC job. I would recommend these gentlemen to anyone!!!!!

even though they were a bit more expensive than i wanted to spend, it was worth it. they were on time, cleaned up everything, and explained exactly what they were going to do. no hidden costs.

The work performed was good, but not great. They were prompt, but not open to expanding the work beyond the scope of the quote. The workers seemed to be on the clock, as opposed to completing the job.

Company responded to my request within 24hrs of posting. He came @the appointed time to give the estimate. It was fair and reasonably priced. Emphasis on saving the tree and removing the hazards. Waiting for appt. to do the work which he stated would be done within the next 3 weeks. They are located 2 counties away. I couldn't even get a local contractor to call back when I first started making calls. Highly recommend this Company!

I made an appointment for an estimate and they were right on time. Brendon explained the work to be done and wrote me a clear and precise estimate. After a few other estimates I decided to go with SavATree, the estimate was reasonable for the tree work to be done. They called me to set up to do the work and they did it very professionally with no problems. I would highly recommend them for tree takedown, pruning and stump grinding. It was a job well done.

Great job. Insured BUT... Initial estimate $300 higher than others. Negotiated estimate from $1200 to $1100. When bill arrived, charge included $81 NY sales tax which was on the back of the contract & never mentioned by SavATree. Also they rounded NY tax up to 7.38% from 7.375%. Would have used another bidder if we knew about tax. We never signed the contract and probably could have challenged the bill. It took 2 weeks after hurricane Irene to start work. Chalked this experience up to another lifetime mistake. Read the fine print, use a lower bidder, and get a start date in your contract if you are considering SavATree.

They are very professional from start to finish. After the work was done, I hardly knew they were here. Their price is very competitive, and I highly recommend them.

Every appointment was kept as made. The job was completed within the time frame allowed. The job done exceeded expectations. I would refer this company to anyone planning a pruning or removal

They cut down whatever I requested. I would recommend them to anyone who has to trim trees or remove them.

We were very impressed with the professionalism of SavATree. We were given a quote, decided to have the work done and paid the quoted price. The workers were top notch, very hardworking and careful. We also thought Mr. Gurr was top notch, who came around to supervise and inspect the work. We would definitely use SavATree again.
