The Wash Depot Laundromat

The driver picks up your dirty clothes and leaves you a pink slip with the promised delivery time. Just before our vacation, I was promised our wash-and-fold laundry and dry cleaning 48-hours after pickup. The notice was very clear. Well, the day before our flight, I got worried because the Wash Depot had not delivered our clothes -- including much of our vacation wardrobe. "Oh if we didn't call you the night before, that means we are backed up and cannot deliver," Elizabeth, the manager, told me. "And, dry-cleaning (which I had plenty) usually takes 72-hours." I explained to her none of the instructions/information left by the driver stated this, and that she was hanging onto clothes that needed to be in suitcases NOW. She attempted to have delivered our clothes the next morning at 5am. (The car service to the airport was going to be here at 7:30am.) Well, the driver got lost (we live 30-minutes away from The Wash Depot) and finally arrived at 6:45! We didn't need this stress before a vacation, and with sleep deprivation, because we woke up to wait for the driver at 5am. I send another load of clothes here after returning from vacation, attempting to call Elizabeth several times, to ask for a discount. The wash-and-fold work was usually (read-on) good work... so I wanted to give her another chance. Big big mistake. Some clothes we brought back from vacation were brand new and never worn. Two shirts (brand new from the Polo Ralph Lauren store) came back with looked like food or makeup stains. The dry-cleaning mentioned above? Staples, staples, staples. Every single shirt and pair of slacks had tags stapled through the garment tags. Why? Other cleaners manage NOT TO STAPLE through tags. Loop the tag around and staple only the paper tab... not fabric. I have to go by a staple remover. Do not be lured to send your clothes to the Wash Depot. There's a slick website and that colorful flyer sent to my home led me to believe this was an honest reputable service. Steer clear.
