About us

Superior Care Auto Center was formed in 2002, when Superior Electric and Pro Care, two long established businesses with over 100 years of combined work experience, decided to merge. We are one of Brooklyn's most technologically advanced, independent repair centers. Our up-to-date library has the largest database, and the latest service bulletins, as well as recall notices. We can repair problems large or small, without trial and error diagnostics. Foreign or domestic, new or old, our experience and our state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment will keep your vehicle in top working order. Come to us (as other repair shops do for training and repairing vehicles that are too difficult for them to diagnose), and see why most of our customers are lifelong customers and refer their friends. Superior Care Auto Center services both foreign and domestic cars, as well as light trucks. To ensure our customer's satisfaction, we only use brand name parts in all of our repairs. Our technicians have the training and equipment to provide scheduled repairs, tune-ups, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting, electrical repairs, safety inspections, emission testing, theft repairs, air bags, and New York State Inspections. All of our services and parts are protected 100% by a Nation Wide Guarantee, for up to two years, or 24,000 miles. We are open from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Hi [Member name removed], I apologize for my delayed response. After we received your review, I reached out to Angie's List to check and make sure if this was correct, as it made no sense to us. We have no record of you ever sending us any messages via Angie's List, no record of any e-mails sent from an [Member name removed], and if you had left us a message on our answering machine, we would have returned your call the following business day, so we're not sure why you would have expected us to get in contact with you, as we are mechanics, not psychics. There are two other automotive-relative businesses in Brooklyn whose names also begin with "Superior." Are you sure you reached out to us? Perhaps you reached out to one of them. We do have an option to request an appointment via our website. Every once in a while we'll receive a call from a customer asking if we received their website appointment request from the previous day, and we haven't. This happens very, very rarely though (a few times in the many years our website has been up), and most people have enough common sense that if we haven't responded in one business day to follow up with a phone call to schedule an appointment. Many times technology (e.g. being able to send an appointment request online) can be more convenient than the old-fashioned way, however it's not always foolproof. In the future, if we, or any other business, do not reply to you within one business day, I would NOT recommend that you go online and give them a failing grade, but WOULD instead recommend trying to reaching out once more in another way (i.e. picking up the phone and making a call during business hours). I sincerely hope you will remember this advice in the future, for the sake of any other business you’re hoping will call you up out of the blue. Description of Work: First they flushed the engine block, replaced the heater core and flushed and replaced the coolant. Then they cleaned the solenoid screens. If I had been coming here before, I wouldn't have had to do this. Live and learn. |They also changed the oil and lubricated the suspension, doors and hood. Finally did inspection. By the way, sent me a text reminding me about the inspection. |Not cheap but trustworthy. Informative, nice and super professional. I didn't know there were mechanics like this. Won't go anywhere else ever again.

Description of Work: Big fan of Superior Auto Care. They are my standard auto care place, and I trust them to be reliable and fair. This last visit was particularly worth noting, though, because they DIDN'T do the work. | |I needed work done on a (somewhat obscure) part of my car's suspension. Frank said to me, "look, this just isn't what we do. I can try it, but this time, you're better off taking it to the dealer or a specialist." Honesty should be rewarded more often. (That's why I've been going to this place for years.)

Description of Work: These are great people doing great things. Repairs only took 2 days for dismantling, rebuilding and reassembling of my 2005 Nissan Altima transmission. The owner Frankie is a very pleasant man running a honest establishment. NY mechanics overall are scammers. It is very difficult to find 1 you can trust. I found Superior Care Auto Center @120 19th Street in Booklyn and I trust them. If I have any future mechanical issues and this where I will come, definitely. You should do the same. They will bend over backwards to please you.

Excellent!
Description of Work: I have been going to Frank and Dominick (and now Charlie!) for many years with my aging Ford Explorer. They are honest, courteous and accomplish what they say they will. Additionally, their record keeping is very good, so they can see the past 10 years worth of maintenance on their computer. I trust them completely!
