I called today to find out what it would cost to have the clutch replaced on my car and the woman I spoke with refused to give me a price. She said they needed to see the car in person. Replacing a clutch is a standard procedure that is easily estimated on the phone. The only question for any clutch is whether the flywheel can be surfaced or needs to be replaced. I called two other repair places and they politely and quickly provided an estimate on the phone, but Superior wants me to drive all the way over there before they will give me a price. The woman said they needed to "look at the car first." I'm sorry, but there is nothing to "look at" on a bad clutch. It either works or it doesn't. Why should I drive all the way to their shop to wait around while they tell me what they could have told me on the phone. I think it's obvious that they don't want to provide competitive pricing or they would be willing to provide pricing on the phone. They don't need to give an exact price necessarily but they can easily look in their book at labor and go online to look at the parts and give me a range for the cost. Any auto repair service that doesn't want to give pricing on the phone is playing games and assuming you'll be more likely to have it done there if you're on their premises. Looks like I won't ever be on their premises...

I was dreading finding a new car repair/service because my guys retired and getting my oil changed turned into a dog and pony show at a place nearby. This place took a little getting to because of traffic. Parking is outside under the overpass, but if you can't find a spot they will help you. You can just pull up to the opening at the garage door. I called for an appointment and intended to get there the next morning, but you can leave your car the day before between 1:30 and 5:30 pm, which I thought will come in handy. Everything went well, there are at least two young women at the front desk who manage the office and dropping off was easy. A few hours later the car was ready, no hassles about selling you nonsense that doesn't exist. I'm happy to have found them and will use them again when my oil change is due and they'll give it a go-over to keep it up to par. Killing time in Park Slope turned out to be fun, too, it's an easy walk up through the avenues.

Fine- no problems. I have been bringing my cars to Superior Care and it's predecessor, Pro Care, for about 20 years now and I would like to say that I've always been happy with the quality of their work. They're professional, efficient, cooperative and friendly and I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for a reliable car maintenance service. Frank and Charlie and the staff have always gone out of their way to let me know what I should do to keep my cars in good shape!

I was given an appointment; the car was taken in right on time. The estimated time was 90 minutes and it was completed by then. It was a thorough once-over of all the car's systems, including a Car Fax, which convinced me to go through with the purchase of the vehicle. Frank was good-natured and informative, as was Megan and the rest of the staff.

The work was done well and promptly. Superior Care was honest about they're evaluation. We will definitely go back.

They took my car in. Told me what the problem may be, asked me about prior work I had had done and what it would probably cost. The car was ready when promised and for the amount they said it would cost.

Frank and his team did a masterful job repairing a longstanding noise in my 2000 Nissan Maxima, which was misdiagnosed by our regular auto mechanic. Superior Auto Care is one of the most professional, honest and trustworthy auto repair companies in Brooklyn, New York. The prices are fair and the quality of the work is unparalleled. Frank is an affable guy, who explains all the details of the repair, including possible reasons why the issues occurred and his methodologies for remediation. Implicit trust is rarely given these days, but I can say that I implicitly trust Frank for the masterful service and expedient resolution of the annoying noise problem in my car. Superior is an asset to the auto care community, and I will be using their services indefinitely. I have nothing my praise for the quality of the work I received from Superior. Always professional, provide details and get approval before doing the work, will let you know what is critical and what can wait to do. Car always runs better when I leave there.

I had a long standing problem with a soft sinking brake pedal. i'd had the master cylinder replaced in New Orleans which seemed to correct the problem but it returned. Superior gave me a probable diagnosis involving rebuilding or replacing brake pistons and estimate. I OKd the repair. They were able to clean and rebuild brake assembly on 3 wheels and replace the remaining caliper assembly. The brake problem was solved satisfactorily.

I have used them for a very long time. They do what they say they are going to do. They are extremely nice. They remind me over the phone even though sometimes I ignore them and they are very competent.

Excellent service. Frank and the crew at SuperiorCareAuto always provide complete transparency before starting any work (actually showing you why repairs are needed). I've been with them for nearly 10 years and they are the best.

It's sometimes difficult to face the reality that it costs money to keep a car on the road and in good condition. We have a 10-year old Honda Element which we've been servicing at Superior Care for quite a few years now. I found them on Angie's List after being "ripped" off by the dealership. They are excellent at what they do. They are honest. (You really don't need to fix that now. Let's wait and see. It's safe and we can fix it further on down the road. But it has to be fixed at some point.) Professional (You can do it one of two ways OR I'd suggest doing it this way. This particular car uses a blah-blah-blah part but we can also use a blah-blah part. It's just as efficient.) And responsive (Bring it down now.) I trust them. And, yes, it can get expensive sometimes but I do think that when they say "it's fixed", it IS fixed. I highly recommend these guys....and there's always a place to park! Lost But Now I'm Found

Just a little back story on my reason for taking my car into superior auto care. My warranty form the dealer was up and I saw no reason to extend the warranty. No sooner than I decided not to extend the warranty I started to have some car problems. I swear it's like Murphy?s Law. After researching and finding superior auto care I booked and appointment on line (a first for me dealing with mechanic shop). I got there at my schedule appointment and I did not have to wait or anything (another first). If I went to the dealer I would still be waiting. After I leaving my car I received a call, and was able to go over the issues most of which I was aware of except the brakes. We explored the possible options i.e. purchase new parts or fix/clean existing parts. Turns out the cylinder for the lock was in the door and was able to affixed back to the door. Did not require a new lock. One of the sensor just needed to be cleaned and reset (Dodged a bullet with that). I am sure the if I had taken it to the dealer I would have been told I had to get all new parts and the wait to get those parts shipped in would have left me with a vehicle longer than just four days. This shop is a great find, and I will be taking my care there in the future.

I went to Superior for an oil change and a check-up. They were wonderful. They could have tried to sell me a bunch of services I did not need -- like some other places do -- but they did not. They told me what needed to be done (I.e. the brake light which I did not even know was out) and what should be done (filters) and what could wait. My tires would need replacing down the road, but a tire rotation would suffice for now. I was able to drop the car off after I was done with work and able to pick it up at a time which worked for me. Being a working mom is hard and having a place that is honest, professional, reasonably priced and fits into my schedule like Superior does, is great.

I like them very much. They are terrific. They are honest and they explain things carefully. They tell me the way things are. They give me a feeling of confidence and honesty which I don't get with a lot of mechanics.

If you care for a car service that is above all honest, friendly, competent and very professional you can not go wrong with Superior Care. They will not change any part in your car unless they are 100% sure that the part is defective and causing the problem to your vehicle. They will always call you and get you informed of what needs to be done and provide you with a price estimate with the courtesy as appropriate to a first rate car service. Do not be fooled or put off by the simple appearance of the premisses and rest assured that you will not be paying for the overhead for a shiny location. They are good and honest on what they do, period!

Gave him the specs on my tire and they were almost $200.00 more than they other companies I had called. They were also higher on the service price. The wheel alignment was also $20.00 more than other companies.

I felt the price was excessive. I feel that I paid triple the amount on parts that I should have paid.

I've been looking for a real trusting Auto service for years here in NY. I thought with your services I would find one honest. Will I used your services and found one close to were I was able to go. I calld made a appointment for a car oiled change and few check points I need on my van. Well, after all done. I was quoted a price of 3,500.00 in labor and parts. I could not believe the quote. I have CarMD and the Estimated price they gave me with everything was 2000.00 dollars less. I enjoy going to Walmart for my oil changes and tire replacements. I have never in my years of owning a car Paid a 150.00 for an oiled change ever. I am not a great believer in dropping off your car and picking it up the next day with a service quote of an amount like this. I was on a long trip to Grand Canyon from New York. All I wanted to make sure that my van was okay for the ride. I knew it was going to cost for a tune and window and oil change and a ac holes to replace. But never this amount. All was done during my trip to the Grand Canyon is a Small Auto Service Shop in Teaxes for $800.00 dollars and workman guarnte. New York City , Well I live here and I feel that everyone is out to F*** anyone out of money, and not doing a good job for the amount one pays out.

I called them and they gave me an appointment right away, with good instructions and an email follow up. I brought my car in. Lindsey looked over the vehicle, measured my tire depth right in front of me. She said they would look at the fluids and if they were dirty they would change them. She asked what tires i wanted and i said whatever was stock for the car. She advised me that if i took a little jump up, not a big jump, that i would get better mileage and have a safer better ride. They performed all service on time. When i picked up the car, she told me it wasn't necessary to change the fluids, that they looked clean. On the bill they charged me a little under the msrp on the dunlop signature II tires. the 3000 mile service was 59$. the nys inspection was 37$, the tires with balance and alignment was 798$. Then they gave me a 5% Angie's list subscriber discount. THEY ARE EXCELLENT. This was the best auto service experience i have had in 30 years. Lindsey was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Everything was preformed as promised and on time. Lastly, i took my kids out to Long Island the following day. I got a 6 mpg bump on my mileage, and my 2006 toyota highlander hybrid was a noticeably better ride as well.
