I started out with the worst contractor of all time. Then I reached out on Angis list and was able to get in contract with Ahmed from smart general contracting. He was responsive right away and helped us finish our he house to look beautiful. He completed my porch, my stucco, and my pavement. Him and his workers were always kind and respectful. I would definitely recommend smart general contracting again and looking forward to doing more projects with them!

Fast well done

Excellent job done from this company, I had bricks need to repair and exterior walls amd roof need to repaint. Ahmad and his crew got the job done within reasonable time and did an excellent job. Ahmad is professional and plansant to deal with, highly recommended if you need any brick, masonry, waterproofing done.

The guys did excellent work . They were prompt , courteous and responsive . They completed job as scheduled. Work was very clean . Would absolutely recommend them and use them again .

I quoted out six different contractors to repair our sidewalk after receiving a citation from the city, Ahmad was the most reasonably priced and easily the most professional. He came to look at the job, sent me a contract and completed the work shortly thereafter. The work was done in a single day and the new sidewalk looks perfect. He also returned to caulk the joints after the COVID outbreak at risk to himself so we could pass our inspection. His professionalism knows no bounds. He truly cares about his work and business. Highly recommend.

I hired Ahmed of Smart General Contracting to replace my whole sidewalk, entryway and side of the house. It was a decent size job. Ahmed and his crew arrived on the agreed date and time, he originally quoted me 3 days but was done in 2! Ahmed was supervising the crew and making sure all the work agreed to was completed properly and timely. I would would hire Smart General Contracting again for any projects I have in the future and plan on doing so. I was greatly impressed.

Great job overall. We hired Mr. Ahmad to replace old cracked walkways and old pavers with about 120 linear feet of new concrete. His crew showed up on time and worked efficiently to break up and remove the old material. They cut some overgrown tree roots, excavated soil, built forms, and poured the new 4-inch thick walkways the same day. I was expecting curved walkways because my old ones had curves and that's what I had described during the initial meeting, but they did gentle angles instead, which actually look nicer and more contemporary than curves. They also graded a slope in the front yard to make it less steep. The price was reasonable compared to other bids I received. The final cost was $600 higher than the original quote, because he said he calculated the total square footage incorrectly. It was an honest misunderstanding because we debated 24-inch-wide vs. 30-inch-wide walkways, which would account for the difference. At the end of a long day, they cleaned up and left. It started raining hard about 30 minutes later, and Mr. Ahmad and his crew returned--on their own initiative--to cover the newly poured concrete with tarps. I was very impressed with their efforts to protect the work area, and one man worked under the tarp to re-do the edges where a tarp had smudged them. Overall, I would highly recommend Mr. Ahmad and his crew.

Paid attention to detail, very responsive to any requests I made. I designed a brick lay out and they did a beautiful job making my vision come true.

It went very well, they took out the old steps and put the new ones and we even extended the new ones and Smart General Contracting was very profesional on their job. I definitely will hire them again and I recommend them to any one wants to have a job done around their house. Well done.
