Complaint on Angie’s list.com 1, ceiling insulation method done without consulting with me and compromising on the material used: GC chose cheaper and inappropriate material without my authorization. 2. He had done unacceptable job and left the project with DOB permit that had expired 4 months before. Hi refused to correct his errors and finish his work. I was left with the list of following problems: -The construction of walls and rooms do not have 45-degree angles; -Walls are bumpy, uneven as if they were “pregnant”; -Moldings job is unacceptable; -The doors openings are incorrect and do not allow the metal frame and fire rated doors installation -I never got the doors and frames (cost about $1500), which were included in the project. -The walls are not plastered, sanded, and painted. -My existing floor is damaged. Licensed contractors and architects, I’ve consulted with, assessed that the damage was irreversible unless I pay for demolition of the walls and do it again. I could not afford it. The agreement for the entire project, with all labor and materials included, was $15,000. I paid Mr. Zdunczyk $11.500. Fixing the surface errors, buying and installing the doors + finishing walls cost me over $10000 and it took me two months.
