Everyone was very pleasant to deal with. The technician came towards the end of the time window provided and seemed knowledgeable, but quoted over $400 to unclog our home's main line which was quite high. We ultimately called another plumbing company and got the work completed for a third of Roto-Rooter's quoted price.

After experiencing 2 disappointing attempts by other sewer and drain line companies. I was relieved R&R showed up on time.
The technician looked at the situation and spoke to me at length about our recent back up issues.
The water in the basement and the flood in the front pit were cleaned up and drained, so he had easy access .
The technician snaked out the front trap to the sewer main int the street and then went to work on the back line that runs
the length of the basement to the front line. Even though the price was more than other companies, I was willing to pay.
All seemed well and he assured me the flooding occurred because of a clogged line. He did not send the camera into the line to record its cleanliness. So , therefore I was not given a CD with a video of the work.
Within 2 days, the basement was once again flooded !
I called R&R to inform them and quickly made another service appointment.
The representative assured me I was the first appointment for my second service call.
On the date of the 2nd service call , I waited over 4 hours for a technician. Every time I called for a status update, I was informed that the technician was finsihing up his first job and would be coming to me next.
If I was the first job of the day, WHY WOULD HE BE AT ANOTHER JOB BEFORE ME??? No one could answer this question.
Instead I was repeatedly told he was on his way.
By 12:30 pm it became clear no one was coming.
AT 12:45 pm R&R called me and told me that some one would be there in an hour.
I quickly and quite angrily told them to cancel the appointment.
It was unprofessional to have a customer wait over 5 hours for a service call without properly informing them of the situation given that this is the second time they coming to finish a job that should have been performed properly the first time.
Then I received several calls from several mangers, who tried to appease me. I was questioned as to why I didn't received a video of the line. Since, that service wasn't performed, why would i have a DVD.
The most insulting part of the subsequent phone calls was when they offered me a substantial refund because of their relationship with Angie's List!!!
Was the refund offered so that I wouldn't describe their poor service,
or was it offered because the basement flooded soon after their initial visit?
This is one company that I will NEVER recommend, NEVER use again and NEVER allow them to bribe me,
Despicable, unprofessional and shady .
