Everything was excellent. I've been in Brooklyn for over 35 years and have always gone to Richie for carpeting before moving into a new place. This time I needed new carpeting in a place I've lived in for 20 years and the kitchen needed a makeover. Richie and his sons were helpful in picking out the perfect carpets for the bedroom, living room, foyer and hallway as well as some awesome COREtec planking to give the kitchen a new look. I have always been pleased with the work done by Richie and Sons. This time I was especially impressed with his Team as they ripped up the old carpeting and put in the new as well as that new kitchen floor. The guys were on time, worked hard and efficiently, moved all sorts of furniture to get the job done and cleaned up afterwards. To me the job seemed impossible, so it was like a miracle to see what could be done once in the hands of these professionals. I'm over the top satisfied and would highly recommend them for any carpet/flooring need ... large or small.

Excellent ! 3 men to install carpet in 13 by 15 bedroom , were exactly on time, very professional and personable . I did not have to go to their store in Brooklyn, they came to me in Forest Hills with samples to choose. They did all clean up, leaving my bedroom in pristine condition. All this took only 2 1/2 hours.

After living in our home for 14 years my wife and I decided to change the carpet. We were looking for pet friendly and easy to maintain. Richie came to the house TWICE to bring samples for us to look at. He never tried to push the most expensive carpeting on us, and answered our questions. When it came to installation they were on time, courteous, and ready to go. They finished the installation in half a day and cleaned up after themselves. It was a small job, but Richie and his workers treated it like it was a palatial estate. I would not hesitate to use them again.

We Looked them Up on this Site. They came over and gave Us an estimate. The next few weeks they made the problem go Away. New floors. Excellent !!

I had my rugs removed from 3 rooms and a new kitchen floor installed . I only had one problem which was corrected with no arguments . I would recommend Richie's company . Richie himself is a regular guy from a mom and pop store . His men are knowledgeable and talented . He is my floor guy from now on.

I assumed I would replace the old flooring with new linoleum. Richie's store had many good linoleum options, but he then showed me other options. I ultimately chose to install interlocking tiles which were more durable than linoleum at a comparable price. I did have one minor issue after installation. Richie was very responsive to my concern and ensured that everything was made right. They handled everything very professionally and I am still VERY happy with my floor. I will definitely use Richie for my next flooring need.

They were helpful in the store, in choosing a high-quality and attractive vinyl tile. Three installers arrived on time, worked quickly and did a very professional job, and cleaned up afterward. The results are excellent. I always prefer to use small, family-owned businesses rather than large home improvement chains.

My experience was GREAT as usual! This is the third time I've employed Richie's Bay Ridge. They did two previous jobs for me... installing linoleum on four flights of stairs and another time laying beautiful wood-look vinyl flooring in my kitchen. OMG it's gorgeous! I'm always happy with the completed jobs and I will never go to someone else. Richie came to measure the two bathrooms and brought samples of beautiful vinyl. In a couple of days Gus arrived with the materials to do the job. This is also the third time Gus has worked in my house. He is a complete professional and a very nice guy. They got to work immediately and it took a minimum amount of time to complete the two bathrooms which came out beautiful! They are honest, fast and meticulous, a rare thing these days. I love dealing with Richie's place because they are totally professional and do what they promise when they promise to do it. No hassles whatsoever as there are with most places you need work from. Once again, a totally pleasurable experience. Thank you!!

I placed the order on a wednesday and the carpet was installed the following week on thursday. The installation crew was on-time, professiomal and customer friendly. I had a full bedroom set and these guys (3person crew) moved quickly and efficiently. The job took 2 and a half hrs in which they moved around furniture, installed carpet and placed furniture back in place. I was impressed and satisfied with their svcs and professional manner.
Richie (in store) and Kevin (free estimate at my home) were also professional when addressing my many questions.

The job went well. They were on time and schedule, cleaned up well, and the quality was excellent. The teamwork was also very good.

When I stopped by the business to explore flooring options, Richie was super nice, showed me the different options, gave me pros and cons of each. When I decided to move forward, he showed up the next day to measure my room, and his estimate was the same as the one he'd given me in the store. The materials arrived in under two weeks and they installed the floor a few days later. Several guys showed up exactly on time and very efficiently pulled up my old disgusting carpet. They were friendly and got right to work. The installation of the floating cork floor took a few hours - they were very efficient and paid a lot of attention to detail - I watched them for a while and was impressed with how careful they were to lay each plank exactly right. They had to make a bunch of cuts around various doorways, corners and the radiators and it was very precise. They cleaned up nicely when they were done. Richie called that evening to make sure everything was ok. It looks wonderful. I'm so glad I used a local, family owned business instead of the hacks at Home Depot. When I need flooring in other rooms, I'll absolutely call them again.

This is the second time Bay Ridge Carpet and Linoleum has done work for me. Kevin came to the house,measured the areas and discussed my options. He also brought a lot of samples. One of the things I love about this company is they measure, order and set the date for the work to be done. They don't leave you hanging. The turn around time was only ten days! John and Gus arrived when they said they would. They are very hard working and just as nice! This was another great experience for me and I already know what I'd like them to do next. Don't waste your time looking anyplace else if you want the best from the best!

This is a family business run by Ritchie and his son and nephew, Kevin and Jimmy. Ritchie came and showed us samples right in our home... Then, stayed in close contact with us as we took 2 weeks to decide on the floor. He ordered the floor for us and installed it on a day that was convenient for us. They worked around our schedule. Jimmy came with a helper and was CLEAN, fast and meticulous. They moved our stove and Fridge also. He was so sweet and knowledgeable. They even removed and cut my Moms door and put it back up in about 10 minutes! I find that with most companies these days, you need to watch everything they do, because they're messy and will cut corners... Not these guys. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and treat your home like they would their own! We were so impressed with them that they will now be installing carpeting on our hallway steps, (after a HUGE debacle with Empire Today... I had Empire installing the carpet before I found Ritchie's Bay Ridge Carpet. I can tell you from experience... STAY FAAAR AWAY FROM EMPIRE.) When I went to Bay Ridge Carpet to pick the carpet, I had a certain one in mind. Ritchie personally pulled samples for me and told me about them. They really are one of the best carpet/vinyl people you could ever find. Do not hesitate to hire these guys! I also recommended them to my Uncle in Bronxville NY who will be using them to install a whole houseful of carpet.

Overall, my experience with Bay Ridge Carpet and Tile was extremely positive.  I found them to be very professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with.  Ritchie the owner, came right over to my house to inspect the job, he brought samples with him, he advised me about all the options including materials, pro and cons of carpet vs. rubber, etc.  He also advised me how to prep the steps for the best overall wear and tear.  He called to confirm the installation before coming, was flexible with me to accommodate my schedule change, called me with updates regarding the installers arrival time - showing great consideration for my time throughout the process. The guys who installed the carpeting got right to work, were very professional, knew their trade, did a beautiful job, cleaned up after themselves and provided an excellent overall product.  I am very satisfied with the overall experience, highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again.

My husband and I met with Kevin and Jimmy at Bay Ridge Carpet and were helped with selecting our bedroom carpeting. In two days we received a sample of our selection, the next day got a call from Richie with the delivery date and a few days later, our carpet was delivered and installed.  I am extremely pleased with their professionalism, courtesy and promptness and look forward to doing business with them again.

Richie Wells responded promptly to my phone call.  We met at the property to review the possibilities.  Richie made suggestions and I followed up with a visit to his shop.  He helped me pick a product that made the most sense for this building.  Although there were so many choices he helped me quickly narrow them down.  His cost estimate was a bit less than I expected, which included removal of old flooring, replacement of sub flooring plus replacement of kitchen floor in one of the apartments.  I had three other vendors on my list, but decided not to bother getting additional bids.  The flooring was installed soon after we shook hands on the deal.  It looks great and was a big improvement to the property.
