It went great. We reached out on a Saturday for a move that was happening the following Monday. It was so last minute they were responsive, efficient, and treated our stuff with care. I would absoultely use them again!

I have heard so many horror stories about surly, overpriced, unpunctual movers with hidden charges for their services that I approached the relocation process with dread. After doing my research I chose Rainbow Movers because they were referred by a friend that I trusted. Despite my friend's endorsement, I was a skeptic. I wasted my time worrying. The entire process from making the appointment to calling at the end of the day to thank the owner of Rainbow Movers was "white glove". The staff showed up on time, were very courteous to everyone in our family and thoroughly explained the process and timing for the day. Our only role was opening the door for them at our new place. Every item was inventoried, thoroughly wrapped, delivered safely and then placed exactly where it needed it. I could not have asked for a better moving experience than Rainbow Movers provided. Needless to say I am now referring them to every one I know.

Everything went smoothly. A representative (Larry) came over and gave a firm estimate (I have heard that some other companies give a web/phone estimate but raise the amount on the day of the move). The movers were polite and professional, and went out of their way to help. No scratches or damages. There was only one negative event: At the beginning of the move, one of the movers stated that the expected tip was 20% - out of the blue - no one had mentioned this topic before.

In Bklyn they had to navigate 4 flights of stairs.  No damage to walls (like the previous movers!) and they were professional, fast and efficient.  We had used them 26 yrs ago to move us from our LES apt into this house and had had a positive experience.  I highly recommend them.

Everything went very smoothly with my move- Paul and Lenny were always in contact with me and did their best to accurately quote me a price and make sure there weren't too many or too few movers for my project. They were also able to work with my new building's elevator hours and arrived early on a Saturday am and moved everything in to my new building 30 minutes ahead of schedule. They are a small operation so my only warning to friends is that you should schedule way ahead of time as they often get booked up. 

It was good. They worked really hard. They were tidy, clean, and did everything. They went above and beyond what was expected for a moving company. The price was very reasonable.

They were on time, deliver everything according to plan, and put them to budget.

I have used Rainbow Movers 3 times in the past 10 years, simply I am generally satisfied with their service and don't want to take a risk of switching to another and get dissapointed.  I am a type of person who is willing to spend more money if I'm getting better quality of service.  So I am guessing the price middle of the road.    They are very good organizing the move by making appointments with doormen, filing insurance papers, showing up on time for the estimate visits.  The owner Lenny always comes to give me quotes, and he is a very nice person to deal with.   On the day of moving, they always show up on-time or early.  Each member introduces himself, and is very polite.  Quality of packing job is "Good".  (I am very particular, almost anal, so for everyone else's standard = "excellent").  I've noticed that they pack my shoes with books, or stationaries with dishes, just to find the space in the box, and minimize the number of boxes.  They paperwrap everything, and put enough material between tems, therefore, I have not experienced any breakage of my items or anything.   Moving and packing is very efficient.  I am alwasys surprised how fast they are out. One strange thing is that Lenny gives very high price estimate, and telling me that it would not be this high.  My quotes in the pasts were $1500 to 2000, and always end up around $780 to $1100, significantly lower.  So it's good, but it's very far off from the quotes that I am not sure what's the purpose of the estimates.... Overall, you will get a quality of service from this moving company, I've been recommending to other people, price might not be the cheapest, and don't get turned-off by the high quotes since actual prices end up in the half of the quotes.   And once you use them, they always remember who you are, which I thought it's a nice touch.
