Marie-Alice went above and beyond in helping me prepare and sell my apartment. I met with her before renovation began on my apartment, and she gave brief advice on some renovation choice that would help my apartment be more appealing.  When preparing to sell my apartment she guided me towards a good stager, as well as reviewing all the intricacies of sell my apartment in a very thorough manner. With Douglas Elliman's resources behind her, she was able to sell my apartment quickly.

It was wonderful. They were advertising and we were starting to go them at a point where we wanted to possibly move forward in housing and we chose them because they were perfect, they were very nice to us and helpful and they knew what we were looking for and didn't pressure us into buying something that we were going to regret. So they were very caring in their business. The person we worked with was very nice, she was able to give us a lot of information and quest and as far as understood what we could and could not afford. She was very nice. From what I understood at the time, they get a percentage of the closing quote and that's how we paid them.

This is a  large real estate agency and I can only comment about the Brooklyn office on Court Street and one agent in particular.  The rental apartment  situation in Brooklyn is currently daunting.  There is a scarcity of apts. and many folks looking for rentals in the more desirable areas.  There are many agencies offering their own listings and very few, it seems, willing to show listings of other agencies and even apts. listed by other agents within their own agencies!  If you are in a hurry for apartments, this makes for a very time consuming process as you may need to deal with many agents , each showing only a few apts. One of the best we found was Alan Chehova at Elliman.  He was professional, honest, actually seemed interested in helping us, returned our calls promptly, and is knowledgeable about the market. We actually didn't find an apt. with him but I would definitely seek his help if I were going through this process again.
