When we bought the 19th century townhouse in Brooklyn plumbing was the main issue. The boiler looked like it would explode at any moment, there was a weird second water heater kind-of hooked in, the sewer cleanout was all wrong, there were multiple fire dangers in the way things were vented to the chimney, and all showers/tubs had various issues. Parkset came in with a very reasonable bid. The work was done quickly, with great quality and communication. It was such a good experience, I called them back for a couple more projects.

They were good. They are reliable.

They were awful. They didn?t know what they were doing and they charged me a lot of money. They had to send somebody in to do the job over, he charged me $850 and didn?t do the job good. They came back two or three times and didn?t get it done right, so I was like, don?t even bother. I had to get somebody else to do the job. I wasn?t going to call them back, it was cold. 

I can?t lie, it was not good. I was very upset. It wasn?t positive, it really wasn?t. I didn?t have a good experience and this was my first. If the job was done right then I wouldn?t mind the price, I paid $850 and I was told I had to pay $2,000 to get it done. The price wasn?t good, because the job wasn?t done. 

They came when they said they were coming. The work wasn?t done and that is what I needed. He didn?t even know how to set my thermostat. He said I needed a new thermostat and I said, ?no, it couldn?t, I just got it!? He just didn?t know how to do it. He went down there and told me I need this and I need this and charged me $850 plus tax. 

They came back twice and said they couldn?t do it and that I had to get somebody else. I was very, very displeased. When they came, they were all respectful and all that. Be respectful all you want, if I have a 3-family house and people crying out their cold and I pay you $850. Oh, this needs to be done, this needs to be done, oh you need this and they come back and do it again and did this, and did this and guess what, it didn?t work. When I saw the advertisement on tv and I called the regular people and told them, ?they not come and the work is not done. I don?t want to pay $850, that is a lot of money and I am not rich.

Service was performed reliably, promptly and professionally. Ran out of oil, Parkset Plumbing came promptly the next day to start the job. They initially installed the hot water heater so that we can have hot water the next day. The new boiler was installed immediately after. Very satisfied with the job they did. Although we had a few issues with the new hot water heater, Parkset came out immediately once we reported the issue to fix it. Very happy we did the conversion, our heating bill has been reduced immensely.

I had nothing but trouble with my new boiler for over 2 years. I had to constantly service and fix it and it never worked properly. On Sat. Feb. 2, 2008 the expansion tank burst and leaked water onto the boiler and soaked the electrical panel. The emergency service arrived at 10 PM to a flooded basement and had to drain the system and replace many expensive components. I had no heat/hot water for three days. I was told that the tank was way to small for the boiler's BTU and it was a cheep unit with a middle seam pron to leaks. It should have never been installed over the boiler because of a possible scenario like this one. The electrical panel should have never been mounted flat on top of the boiler and be exposed to a pool of water as it was. As a result of their installation I had to replace the gas valve the the pilot, rewire all the components, clean the burners, replace the electrical box and rewire anew everything, replace the aquastat. My out of pocket was over $3,200.

He is marvelous. He does great work and does everything he said he will even if he has to come back out. He writes everything out that he is going to do and charge me for. He is always out the next day after I call. I would definitely recommend him.
