They never called with an estimate, I had to call countless times to get a response. Finally when they provided an estimate of $500, I told them to go ahead with the repairs, despite my misgivings about the high price. I did not hear from them for several weeks, and again tried calling the number I had of the person who picked up the rug. He directed me to the factory. They directed me to the main office. We went through several such rounds before I found out that the rug was not done. I agreed to give them a few more weeks, as long as they guarantee that the work would be done properly. After a few more weeks, of not hearing from them, I began my rounds of calling again, only to find out that they still did not repair it. In error they cleaned it. So, we again agreed to give them more time to repair it. Finally by the end of January when they still did not call, I called them and demanded to have the rug returned. They said it was ready, and made an appointment to deliver it on FEbruary 1st between 8 and 9 am. I waited for them, but when they did not turn up by 9 I had to leave to work. I called them later to find out whether they intended to return it that day, and they said they were having trouble with their insurance on the delivery van, so they couldn't come that day. (They did not have the courtesy to call and tell me not to wait for them). However, they promised the next day it would be delivered at the same time. At 8:45am I received a call from the driver that he was running late. I asked if he would drop the rug off, but he claimed it was a C.O.D. for $500. I waited a little longer, and he did arrive with the rug wrapped up. I asked him to unwrap the rug before I paid him, which he did. ...THE RUG WAS NEVER REPAIRED, IT CAME BACK AFTER TWO MONTHS IN THE SAME CONDITION IT WAS PICKED UP. HOWEVER THEY EXPECTED TO BE PAID $500. I took the rug out of their hands and told them to leave.
Description of Work: The company picked up a rug on December 7, 2009, with the understanding that they would repair it. They expected to have it ready within 2 to 3 weeks. They also stated that as soon as it got to the factory they would call with an estimate.
