Perfect job done. Went out of his way to get the job done and stood by his quote. Very polite.

At the end of the day the expectation when you pay a professional to paint a room is that they would take the nails out of the wall. In the haste of what appeared to be that they booked two jobs at the same time my 3 day job was 4 days and not complete. Showing up at 9AM and leaving at 1PM. He looked shocked that I was not pleased with the paint job. He said "I thought you would just hang a curtain over it" Change orders that took place in the middle of the job was something that a professional would call out in advance of the work being started. For example, the wall that was put up required a baseboard, my baseboards are basic, once the work started he said that he could not find trim that matched my home and if wanted the room to match it would be $400. I went to Home Depot for my own curiosity and found something that matched, unfortunately after I paid him to do the work. Again, if this really was a problem and not a cash grab it would have been addressed during the estimate phase of the job. The closet system that I wanted installed was very involved. I emailed him photos and the directions that came with the system prior to the work starting fully expecting him to raise the price. He didn't do that until day four. Ultimately he did not install the system because some of the parts were damaged, not his fault. However maybe he should have opened the box on day one to check it out. Again the work was involved and he clearly did not want to do it. They also did nothing to keep the work space clean and left behind a lot of garbage. On the positive the quality of the work completed regarding the build out of the closet was very good. If you choose to retain do so with caution and make sure you stay home and stand over him and his staff the entire time. I did short pay him about $100 for the bad paint job, I should have kept back more. When I told him that I would be giving him a bad review he said he would dispute it. You can't dispute nails in the wall that are painted over.
