He is a very honest, he won’t overcharge and he won’t try to rip you off or put in things that aren’t necessary. The price is fair. He’s been my mechanic for many years.

We are very happy with the service the provider performed. Our old Honda Civic would not start from its parking spot in the street. We called and spoke to Mitchell himself and he was able to recommend us a good towing company. We left the car at his shop and went to work. He called during the day to give us a run down of what he had found (faulty distributor), and he also checked out some other issues we were having with the car. We picked up the car after work, and it's running even better now than before it broke down. Mitchell was responsive, took the time to explain everything, gave us a heads up on a potential problem with our car model that might crop up in the future, and he threw in headlight polishing free of charge. We would use this provider again without hesitation.

Mitch is great to work with and completely won my trust. I brought the car in and told him what the problem was. He took a look under the hood so I could point things out and he gave several possibilities of what could be wrong and what he would do to correctly diagnose that problem. He gave me a call back the same day after investigating and said exactly what needed to be replaced. The parts had to be ordered direct from Honda so that added a day, but garage time (billed time) was kept to a minimum and was less than expected. He allowed me to come in while the car was on the lift and showed me what they had done, what else was to do, etc. He loves explaining things and does so in a really east to understand way.
This garage is an absolute treasure.

Excellent! I have been going to Mitchell for the past 7-8 years, and he is extremely fair and professional. He is very well-versed in auto mechanics, and involves the customer by explaining the work to be done in plain terms. Also, he is willing to answer any questions the customer may have.

Excellent, friendly service. Respecting my time and my budget. He works at a fraction of the cost of the dealerships. So far I only had him service my brakes but I will go back for all my service needs in the future. Honesty matters.

Mitchell's first quote was $500, which included replacing the belt, water pump, and thermostat. After he began the work, he called to inform me that other parts (pulleys and/or bearings) should be changed as well. When I arrived at the shop, he showed me the worn parts. I am convinced that Mitchell is completely honest and the extra costs were necessary. He spent a great deal of time with me, and even lent me a copy of a book he wrote about" what you should know when visiting an auto repair shop."
He impressed me as knowledgeabe and professional. I spoke to several other customers whose cars were being repaired. They all said that they trusted Mitchell completely, and would not take trheir cars to any other mechanic.

My car wouldn't start and I looked in Angie's list and found Mitchell's. He noted what might be a probable cause. I got the car boosted and brought it in. He went through and explained everything that could be an issue with my car (highlighting the most likely -- and in the end correct) scenario. We discussed other ongoing issues with my car.
I took the opportunity to have some regular maintenance done, and asked him to have a look at the cooling system as I am having some issues with that. It took some time to replicate the problem, but he was able to do so. I was present when he began to analyze what is going on with the system. He discussed the different possibilities of what might be the root cause of the issue, and what might need to be done to address each root cause.
I appreciated the fact-based way in which he approached the explanations, and the very clear process he showed me while he analyzed the problem and its potential causes. As a person with an engineering background, I appreciated that he did not talk down to me, nor did he give me goofy explanations (believe me, I have heard lots of those from mechanics over the course of my car-owning life). As a woman, I particularly appreciated my concerns being taken seriously. Some mechanics automatically dismiss women's reporting of car issues. Mitchell respected what I had to say, and checked out the car based upon my description of my experience with it.
I left confident that I had found a mechanic who could address my car and any of its maintenance. I will be returning to Mitchell's to have him confirm the cause of my car's engine-cooling difficulties, and finally to resolve the problem.
EXCELLENT mechanic. Some of the best money I ever spent on car repair services

Mitchell is always responsive. I never feel like he does unnecessary work. In fact I have gone to him and asked if work needs done and he is always honest and fair with me. He will always work around a schedule too. If it is going to be a big job it is always what do I need now and what can I wait on? He is always specific and honest about that.

I spent about $75 on that service. I would highly recommend him to others considering using them. He is very knowledgeable and informative and he explains everything to the customer in terms of what may or may not be needed. He is very fair with his price and I can't say enough good things about him, he is great. It is a small shop, but scheduling is pretty flexible.

I've used Mitchell's for several years, and this time was as usual. Mitchell is very trustworthy, and is willing to explain what needs to be done and why, and will show you exactly what's wrong. He is good about checking the car over for unnoticed problems, but you don't have to worry that he will "find" something to fix. The repair always costs exactly what he says it will, and his prices are very reasonable. His shop is not equipped for some kinds of repairs, but he can take it to nearby shops for some work, which he then stands behind. He's a refreshing change from lots of other repair places.

He's very straight forward. He'll fix stuff, not just replace parts. Fixed pin-holes in my catalytic converter, that others would have replaced at 10x the cost. Fixed over 10 items, all have been good since. Very accurate billing. You need to make an appointment, as he is popular. I drive by 20 or more mechanics to reach his shop.

They were good and they did a good job. I liked their turnaround time. The estimating was pretty spot-on; they could have probably been a few dollars cheaper but my overall experience was good. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

He is a very experienced mechanic. He is very honest. I went to see him as a second opinion after going to a dealership. The dealership told me there was a certain issue with my car, and he confirmed that the issue didn't even exist. He fixed the issue at hand, and he didn't eve charge me for it!

He is completely honest and generous. Earlier in the year, he sent me to an auto dealer and called them to say that I would be going there. He even told them exactly what to replace in the exhaust system, which he couldn’t do at his shop. He didn’t charge me anything for figuring out what was wrong with my car. My car was ready when he said it would be ready, during the last time I took it to him. Mitchell’s Auto Repair is not the cheapest place. His oil change costs me more than the place I used to go before but it doesn’t costs me as much as with the dealer. So, it is still reasonable.

I ALSO ASKED HIM TO CHECK MY FRONT BRAKES AS ANOTHER SHOP HAD TOLD ME THEY NEEDED REPLACEMENT. WHILE THE WHEELS WERE OFF THE CAR HE SHOWED ME THE BRAKE PADS AND TOLD ME TO COME BACK IN 10,000 MILES. I REALLY APPRECIATED THE HONESTY. THE SERVICE WAS QUICK AND MITCHELL TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING. AS A FEMALE, WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT CARS, IT IS VERY DISCONCERTING TO DEAL WITH MECHANICS WHO RUSH AND DO NOT EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON. I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE AND HIS ESTIMATE WAS ACCURATE.
