About us
Maslow Interiors, LLC is owned and operated by myself, Peter Maslow. I operate a small firm to ensure Quality Control. I run all Projects myself. I have two crews of general Carpenters, Tapers/Painters, etc. I have long standing excellent relationships with my Subcontractors: Electrician, Plumber, Flooring, Millwork (3), etc. No special arrangements or promotions: we give fair prices for the work, do excellent work and Bill according to an agreed Schedule of Payments (by check). On a personal note, I am also an artist (painter) with a studio in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and a former Fulbright Scholar (Poland, 2,000) with a lot of international experience and people experience. Through my Contracting business I've maintained myself as an artist in NYC, and I take it very seriously and give all my clients my full attention and commitment. I've been in the Renovating field most of my life, working as my own business (purely 'word of mouth') almost 20 years (officially since 2008), and am well acquainted with all facets and aspects of NYC Renovations. Generally we work on Apartments or Townhouses, Brownstones. We do Design-build directly with Clients or work with teams of Architects and Designers, as required by each Project.

Peter Maslow is a very good guy and excellent to deal with. He cares about the work he is doing and always seemed to be on top of everything that was going on in my apartment down to the smallest detail. His workers also very good people and very competent. My place is a condo that was built in 2005 and thrown together rather shoddily with very cheap finishes. My goal was to bring it up to a much higher end finish and to make better use of the space in the kitchen and bathroom. I employed Agnese Purvinska of Aggie Designs (AggieDesigns.com) at Peter's recommendation and I am very glad I did. She did an excellent job, providing great ideas and solutions while also being a very lovely person.
All costs were forthright and explained in timely manner. Hard to put a price on honesty and integrity. I would definitely say money was well spent and brought a lot of value to my property.
I would not hesitate to call Maslow Interiors, LLC again.

Peter Maslow (Maslow Interiors, LLC) renovated our kitchen in our large one bedroom condo located DUMBO, Brooklyn back in 2003. I wanted to leave this review because Peter and his team did such a wonderful job. Our kitchen renovation included replacement of old cabinetry with custom cabinets, the plumbing and electrical were replaced as well. We had tile work added to the back splash, granite counter tops installed and the appliances were replaced.
In addition to the kitchen renovation, Peter and his team replaced our interior doors and trim, did some skim coating of the walls and painted the apartment.
We moved out to Staten Island a few years later but really enjoyed that apartment and the work completed by Maslow Interiors. I was very happy with the quality of work and attention to detail. The final cost of the job was as estimated. The crew arrived each day on time and finished the project within the expected time frame of 3 months.
I would highly recommend Maslow Interiors, LLC for your home improvement projects and will plan to use him again, when we renovate our home in Staten Island.

This was the second project I have done with Peter Maslow. He has a wonderful eye and pays very special attention to detail and is very conscientious. Both projects came in on or very near to schedule and budget and were only delayed due to changes that we made. He follows architectural plans very well and also is bale to give very good additional suggestions to resolve situations that invariably come up during a renovation. He is extremely fair and very honest and he does great work, plus he cares about the outcome and look of the job and genuinely wants to leave the client happy. I would strongly recommend him for both smaller and larger renovations.

Good. A hard compressed schedule of 6 weeks start to finish during the hottest plus 100 degrees of year that summer. Communication was daily though I worked overseas during the week and saw the site for only a day each weekend. Massive concurrent trade scheduling was required to demo and rebuild during the 6 week project construction schedule. Field conditions identified and dealt with via email sketches. I am a architect.....so details count. I am a member of Angie's List and fully recommend the work, knowledge, skill and professionalism that Peter Maslow Interiors brings to the job site. Good skills, good humor and good final end product was delivered under the utmost demanding conditions.

A 15' by 8' kitchen in my coop apartment needed a gut renovation following a massive flood from upstairs. I got several quotes, and Peter's was right in the middle. I went with Maslow Interiors, and I'm so glad I did! The quality of the work and the professionalism of the workers were top notch. I really don't see how paying more could have gotten me anything better. Peter and his crew take great pride in their work and the results are spectacular. They sealed off the rest of the apartment so well that you could never guess that the kitchen was being completely gutted down to the substrates and rebuilt from scratch. The crew were prompt, courteous, and efficient. There was minimal mess and they were very considerate of the neighbors. Every step of the process they used the highest quality materials and took the time to do it right. Everything was done with precision, attention to detail, and real craftsmanship. Peter explained to me what they were doing and why. The walls, ceiling and floor of my kitchen are so solid and waterproof now they will never have to be done again. Peter was very helpful when it came to choosing the right appliances, counter top, tile, fixtures etc. We went with inexpensive IKEA cabinets to save time but they made them look like custom. Peter's advice on when something is worth a splurge and when to economize was spot on. Last but not least, Peter has a great eye. He respected my vision -- and made invaluable contributions to the design. My kitchen is BEAUTIFUL.

I have been working on renovation projects with Peter Maslow for over 20 years, he is the first and only person I would consider calling for any interior renovation work in New York City. Peter is an expert at what he does and brings a keen eye and aesthetic sense to every project, something that is unusual and a pleasure when working with a contractor. I trust Peter's sense of space, color and detail and have always worked closely with him renovations, both residential and commercial, he has done for me.
The most current project was the renovation of our 2 bedroom apartment. We had a situation where we could raise the height of our ceilings, add recessed lighting, create new larger closets which all increased our property value. Peter was very patient with the additional add ons we inevitably decided to pursue. We did some kitchen and bathroom updates as well as added a new wood floor to the whole apartment. Peter and his crew were very careful of areas that did not undergo renovation, protecting the surfaces and making sure there was no damage. The workmanship is excellent and the project went smoothly.
Almost everyday, my husband and I, talk about how happy we are with the way our apartment came out and what a pleasure it is to work with Peter. My best recommendation is that I cannot wait to have another project in order to have an opportunity to work with Peter Maslow again.

What a strange way they built your apartment, with 8' ceilings and all that space above there empty and waiting for the change. What did we add, 18" of ceiling height? What an amazing 'wow' difference. It was a nice job seeing all that immediate impact with those higher ceilings. And the floors too. New flush condition doors everywhere, new baseboards.
