Maslow Interiors LLC
About us
Maslow Interiors, LLC is owned and operated by myself, Peter Maslow. I operate a small firm to ensure Quality Control. I run all Projects myself. I have two crews of general Carpenters, Tapers/Painters, etc. I have long standing excellent relationships with my Subcontractors: Electrician, Plumber, Flooring, Millwork (3), etc. No special arrangements or promotions: we give fair prices for the work, do excellent work and Bill according to an agreed Schedule of Payments (by check). On a personal note, I am also an artist (painter) with a studio in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and a former Fulbright Scholar (Poland, 2,000) with a lot of international experience and people experience. Through my Contracting business I've maintained myself as an artist in NYC, and I take it very seriously and give all my clients my full attention and commitment. I've been in the Renovating field most of my life, working as my own business (purely 'word of mouth') almost 20 years (officially since 2008), and am well acquainted with all facets and aspects of NYC Renovations. Generally we work on Apartments or Townhouses, Brownstones. We do Design-build directly with Clients or work with teams of Architects and Designers, as required by each Project.

All costs were forthright and explained in timely manner. Hard to put a price on honesty and integrity. I would definitely say money was well spent and brought a lot of value to my property.
I would not hesitate to call Maslow Interiors, LLC again.
In addition to the kitchen renovation, Peter and his team replaced our interior doors and trim, did some skim coating of the walls and painted the apartment.
We moved out to Staten Island a few years later but really enjoyed that apartment and the work completed by Maslow Interiors. I was very happy with the quality of work and attention to detail. The final cost of the job was as estimated. The crew arrived each day on time and finished the project within the expected time frame of 3 months.
I would highly recommend Maslow Interiors, LLC for your home improvement projects and will plan to use him again, when we renovate our home in Staten Island.
"[Members Name], Thank you for such a lovely review - especially after all this time! I appreciate it. Yes, I remember your kitchen project - the only problem was the honed stone stained too easily. A beautiful apartment with high ceilings - we installed those 8' doors there. Nice old art deco style casings. Great details and a smooth project. Thanks again for your review. Best, Peter"
"[member name removed] Thank you for your wonderful review. It's always a pleasure working with you or for you. If anyone is reading this look up [member name removed] online, she's an excellent Interior Designer. I remember a lot of tricky retro fittings on your project. Making new things work in old buildings is always a challenge. But who doesn't love a challenge? Thank you again. Best, Peter"
Thank you Peter.
"[member name removed], Very nice review! Thank you! Yes, we basically rebuilt your house over the years. Always a pleasure to work with an architect on their own home. Design based on value, keep it simple, smart. The conversions of your home were well thought out and well executed, and a great value. Very nice working with you over that period of time. Thanks again for such a nice review. Best, Peter"
"[member name removed], Thank you! It was a great pleasure working with you on your Kitchen. With you supplying all the fixtures and cabinets and finishes, we were able to do the kitchen at a very fair price and add considerable value to the apartment. Shows what's possible design-wise with Ikea and reasonably priced fixtures. It's a great kitchen. I hope you cook up a storm there! (I believe there was mention of a dinner for the contractor and crew? I will follow up!) Best, Peter"
The most current project was the renovation of our 2 bedroom apartment. We had a situation where we could raise the height of our ceilings, add recessed lighting, create new larger closets which all increased our property value. Peter was very patient with the additional add ons we inevitably decided to pursue. We did some kitchen and bathroom updates as well as added a new wood floor to the whole apartment. Peter and his crew were very careful of areas that did not undergo renovation, protecting the surfaces and making sure there was no damage. The workmanship is excellent and the project went smoothly.
Almost everyday, my husband and I, talk about how happy we are with the way our apartment came out and what a pleasure it is to work with Peter. My best recommendation is that I cannot wait to have another project in order to have an opportunity to work with Peter Maslow again.
"[member name removed], Thank you! Ha, I can imagine 99% of New Yorkers wish they could also raise their ceilings. What a strange way they built your apartment, with 8' ceilings and all that space above there empty and waiting for the change. What did we add, 18" of ceiling height? What an amazing 'wow' difference. It was a nice job seeing all that immediate impact with those higher ceilings. And the floors too. New flush condition doors everywhere, new baseboards. Excellent product. So glad you are so happy with the results. (Let me know when we're doing the kitchen and bathrooms!) Thanks again! Best, Peter"
