We had used MPH for several years, back around 2001. We loved them. They were clean, great, punctual, smart, and loved them.
They did a great job more than once on our furnace when it stopped working, and did a beautiful job on installing an entire second zone to a basement room.
However, the last time we used them, which was in 2007, it was a complete disaster. Marty came to take a look at the job, and gave us several options. We had two back rooms that were very cold and needed better radiators. We all agreed on the job, the price was fair, and they started the work.
It seems that their and quot;good guysand quot; that they had years back, were no longer with them, and we received the younger less experienced guys to do the job. One removed the thermostat in our living room, and in the process, poked and huge hole in the wall and didn't even say anything about it. Another one installed the two back radiators, and they seemed fine at first. Luckily since it was summer, I decided to put a coat of primer on them the next day. I noticed a rather fast drip from the radiator and when I went into our basement room, that I realized the ceiling and walls were getting wet down there. The radiators were both leaking, one much worse than the other. The nice wood floor in our library had already started to buckle. We called them and complained, and after much fussing, they were able to stop the leak. They also wanted to send and quot;their guyand quot; over to rip up and fix the floor, but at that point we said and quot;no way, we'll
take care of it. They did knock some off the price, but, at this point it is not about the money! Not a good experience at all. And, to top it off, AFTER they installed these radiators they warned us that they were made in China, and there is some sort of horrible smelly grey primer on them that will smell bad, claiming that in time, it should go away. Gee, thanks for the toxic air. Even after I primed them with (zero VOC) paint and put a top coat on them, they still smell toxic when they heat up, and it's nearly 5 years later. I would have given this company an and quot;Fand quot; now, but they used to be good, and I hope now they are hiring some better workers.
So I am being kind with the and quot;Dand quot;.
