They turned out to be very good. I have been going to Lowe's for years and I would highly recommend them. They make good on mistakes and back up the service.

They're absolutely incompetent. Somebody came to the house and measured. They had a contractor. The contractor came and measured with windows and measured everything. When we got the plan, we looked at it and it was a little weird. They took measurements for a 30-inch window and put in a 60-inch window. We had to go back and forth a lot. They were trying to push to install an over-the-stove microwave and I said we didn't need an over-the-stove microwave. They took out the microwave. When the guy installed the cabinets, I said it was wrong. The contractor had to come back and measure three times. I have nine inches of unuseable space which the person from Lowe's said they could knock this out. I could have had it from all the way to the ceiling with the cabinet space. The cabinets were beautiful but the service was horrible.

Awful experience. The website and warehouse are completely uncoordinated. Both the Brooklyn and Staten Island stores were involved. So was the website's customer service unit in NC. (One rep told me that, instead of free delivery, it would cost $179 because I live in "a crazy place." I.e., New York.
I ordered a Bosch dishwasher online. I receive a call to schedule delivery. Lowes didn't ask when I was available for delivery, but told me it would be here Saturday, Dec. 5 between 6-8 pm. At 8:20 pm that evening Lowes calls to say they can't make it, as they have 4 deliveries before me, none in Brooklyn. I'm told it would arrive Sunday, Dec. 6. I called to confirm that morning; they forgot to load it on the truck. Monday, Dec. 7, at 7:14 am, I receive a call telling me they'd be here between 2 to 4 pm. Then, at 9am, I receive a second call telling me they'd be here before noon.
As it turns out, the first call was from the INSTALLER, the second was from the DELIVERY company. Lowes uses separate companies to deliver and install appliances! I found this out from the delivery guys (who arrived on time, to be fair). The website didn't provide this information; neither did any of the Lowes representatives I spoke with. My guess is they don't even know -- the website and warehouse are operated like two distinct and separate businesses.
By 5 pm Monday,, Dec. 7, the installer still hadn't arrived. I called, and, one representative and two managers later, find out they can't make it Monday either, because the installer was in Staten Island. I called a local plumber. I asked Lowes to reimburse the cost of the plumber; they agreed, which was good but in no way compensates for the frustration and inconvenience of having to make loads of phone calls over 3 days; having this huge box in my small kitchen for four days until the plumber is able to hook it up; and the lack of awareness of their own process and the customer experience. I've purchased appliances from Costco, BestBuy and Home Depot, no problem.

ice The women who answer the phone at Lowe's Installed Sales Department try very hard to be responsive, but they do not seem to have much control or authority. I had to call constantly to inquire about deliveries. The installation of the cabinets was grossly overpriced. The kitchen walls were new and the room was empty for the installers to work. They spent about 5 hours on the installation and it was sloppy with nail holes showing, sawdust inside the cabinets and black marks on newly painted walls. The installer, who is a subcontractor for Lowe's, installed 11 cabinets and they charged $3,200 for the installation. When I agreed to the price, I had no idea that it would take such a short amount of time and be so sloppy.
The dishwasher arrived broken. They replaced it but that set us back a week. The cabinet crown molding was a different shade of white and had to be replaced. That set us back 2 weeks because the manufacturer did not send enough the first time. I don't think the installer should have originally installed the molding when the color was off.
The Lowe's subcontractor who cut the granite counter top was excellent. The woman in Kitchen Design was very nice, and she tried to help resolve problems.

The total cost this last time was $1500. I would recommend them. I would refer friends and family to the store. 9/10 times I've found whatever I've been looking for. I was satisfied with the quality of what I had purchased from them. Their pricing is good, comparable. If I needed a representative or a store employee, they've been very good. They've answered all my questions and they've taken time. Whatever I purchased I've brought home with me either with my own transportation or with a friend if I needed a larger vehicle. I always had someone to be able to deliver for me. Whoever I've dealt with as far as a store employee or even at the checkout, they've been very good. I would use them again without a doubt.

They were fine. Everything went well. I do not remember the cost of the service but it was a reasonable amount for the work that was done. It went smoothly and I have no issues with them. Everything went as finely as they said that it would. They did what was needed and they installed the carpet professionally.

A gentleman from the contractor came to measure and look at the job. The gentleman came on the day to do the job. Two very nice and capable gentleman. They said it was a bigger job than they thought. They did not get it done that day which was good because Lowes never delivered the cement. I call Lowes and explain that there was no cement for them to finish the job. The salesperson on the phone says very snarkishly and quot;Well, why didn't you order it?and quot; That infuriated me. I said and quot;I hired you guys as the experts. You were supposed to order it.and quot; He puts me on hold to call the salesperson who did the job. He gets back on the phone and says and quot;Yeah, he didn't order it.and quot; I said and quot;Yeah, I know he didn't. Why not?and quot; He said he must have forgot.
I would think there is a template of items that are automatically needed and are added to the estimate. So now I had to buy the cement. That was a hole other thing because they would only deliver curb side the day before the job and I wasn't about to take a day off of work to accept some cement. The other items didn't show up until after 3pm. The contractor said that kept happening to them. It is coming from a nearby Lowes, It is not like it is in another state.
So I crossed my fingers but the driver was actually very nice. He called me and when I explained my situation he put it my gate and even covered it with plastic and garbage can lids in case it rained.
The contractor came the next Thursday but only with one guy. I called to complain because I didn't want to take ANOTHER vacation day. Well, I did anyway and it still wasn't finished until Saturday. I did not get charged more but it still was not fair to assume I could take all of that time off. The contractor, Basil, was great. I can't believe he was able to do it all by himself.
Oh and I had to drive to Lowes to pick up brackets because they did not order enough of those. Plus the caps they sent for the top did not fit but Basil was able to make it work.

I am a very loyal Lowes customer - I have shopped and purchased at Lowes in Brooklyn, New Jersey and PA. I am very impressed with the management, staff and customer service of Lowes, particularly outside of New York. The Brooklyn store on 2nd avenue installed my microwave oven, carpeting and new dryer - all in 2014. All of these purchase were from the 2nd avenue location. They were excellent from beginning to end. Their subcontractors were prompt, courteous, neat and professional. Lowes" staff follows up immediately after a job is finished and they want feedback. They are very polite, professional and eager to honor or offer a discount. I have used the Lowes extended warranty on items and found that to be a very positive experience as well. Only good things to say - Highly recommend and if you have any problems - go to management and they will handle your problem promptly.

We never expected to order our cabinets from Lowe's. After starting to look at a neighborhood independent kitchen and bath store, we went into Lowe's to do some comparison shopping. There was a wide selection not only of styles and finishes, but also of price and quality. We didn't realize that an appointment was required to meet with a design specialist, but luckily, Rafael Cardona was willing to delay his break to meet with us. We couldn't have been more impressed with Rafael. He took the time to understand what we needed. our taste, and our price range, and then helped us design a layout and choose the types and sizes of cabinets that would best meet satisfy all of them. He also helped us to squeeze in the most storage space in the existing footprint with a thorough knowledge of the options.
Rafael was extremely professional and took a lot of pride in his work. While that tended to inflate the price over time, because he did not want to settle for less than perfection (for example, urging us to add crown molding and other finishing details that we could have done without), he did not persist when we declined. He met with us with and without out contractor over many visits and many hours. At every stage, he provided us with detailed 3-dimensional drawings and a detailed price list, which we were not able to obtain elsewhere without having already committed to a purchase. One time, when the hardware we chose did not seem to be available in the finish we preferred, instead of just letting us order the substitute, at our next meeting he surprised us by saying he had contacted the manufacturer in the interim and was able to find them.
After about 7 months, we are still delighted with our new cabinets. When something arrived damaged, we had no problem with obtaining a substitute. We have just discovered a small crack in one of the cabinet doors, and we are hoping that we will still receive the same treatment.
We have been so pleased that we recommended Lowe's service to our friends and sent them to Rafael. So far, they are just as happy.
