John Roggenkamp Roofing

Very knowledgeable, very patient with my questions during the estimate. It took a few weeks to get him to do the work during high season, but I'm glad I waited. Work was very neat (see photo). Minimal disturbance to the home. Highly recommend.

I scheduled an appointment and it turned out that the forecast for the afternoon was 40% chance of rain showers. I called them to reschedule and they gave me a hard time about it saying that they had already set aside that day for me and that the rain would not be an issue despite the instructions saying not to apply the coating if rain is expected within 24 hours. This coating is not cheap and I did not want to risk a 40% chance of rain ruining the coating. After a lot of hassling on the phone, they finally relented and agreed to reschedule. On the day of the coating, they went up with 10 gallons of coating material when the square footage of my roof called for 2 coatings with 20 gallons total. They said that they did indeed put up 2 coatings like the instructions said but 10 gallons is enough because I have aluminum coating underneath. I called the manufacturer and they told me that 10 gallons total would achieve half the required thickness of coating even if done as 2 separate coats. It could result in peeling and letting sunlight through. It would be OK if the coating underneath was elastomeric as well but not aluminum. The manufacturer would not be able to warranty their product in this case. I will end up putting up an extra coating myself to avoid the hassle of dealing with them. Their work seemed to be of good quality and they left the roof pretty clean but if you want to get things done per the manufacturer's instructions then I would look elsewhere. If I did not read up on the elastomeric coating, I would not even know about these issues and I could have had a compromised roof coating. That would have been a great waste of money! I didn't appreciate the hassle and push back I got during my experience with them.

For roofing I used Roggenkamp. Excellent, he does quality work. I would highly recommend him. Most of the people on this block use him. He did the garage and that was like 1200 dollars and he did the porch which I believe was 1500 dollars and a few weeks ago he came in and did a job and he never gave me a bill. He had done the roof like last year. He never sent me a bill. He was very good and very responsive. He looked at it and said no, you already paid for this. He is an honest man. I pray for his good health.

It was just after the hurricane and they had a hard time coming down. He persisted on coming and he did a good job. It has held up beautifully.

This was one of the best experiences I've had with repairs. We had significant leakage through the roof after a large storm hit in April, and I was referred to Roggenkamp Roofing through a friend who had used him the previous year. He made temporary repairs to prevent additional water damage during his first visit (for which I wasn't charged once we entered into contract), and was courteous and professional throughout. The roof, sky light, and hatch replacement went off without a hitch. He arrived when he said he would, removed all trash and debris, and ensured that the inside of the house was not stained by the materials being brought up. The roof has held up great. We recommend Mr. Roggenkamp whenever we can.

THIS COMPANY DOES A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY MAKE VERY LITTLE MESS AND THEY CLEAN UP ANY THING THAT WAS LEFT BEHIND. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EASY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICES.

ROOFING WAS DONE ON THREE AREAS, THE GARAGE, PORCH AND MAIN HOUSE. IN VIEW OF THE AMOUNT OF WORK DONE, THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. THE CUSTOMER IS SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY. THE CONTRACTOR WAS REFERRED TO HIM.

I THINK IT WAS A GOOD PRICE. ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY HAD TO GET ON THE ROOF. I LIVE IN A THREE STORY HOUSE. I USE THEM ABOUT ONCE EVERY TWO MONTHS. I LOVE THEM AND HAVE BECAME GOOD CLIENTS OF THEIRS.
