We used John for our wedding photographs. When we first started looking for a photographer, John responded right away and was more than willing to work within our budget. (He devised a plan with less hours and a simpler delivery option.) He met with us twice--one initial meeting and once a few days before the wedding--and was always very responsive to e-mail.
On the day of the event, he was there early to begin setting up shots. He and his assistant were relatively unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception and were in a cheerful, even joyful mood throughout the event, encouraging everyone to be at their happiest. He took some lovely posed shots in front of a cast-iron building across the street from the restaurant (we were in Tribeca) and took some city and quot;action shotsand quot; after the ceremony.
We just received a preview slide show, and the photos look wonderful. He did an especially good job with the lighting in a somewhat dark space where we had our reception. We feel like he truly captured the mood and spirit of our wedding.
