It went quite excellent. He is a superb roofer. He took off my spanish tiles, numbered them replaced rotted plywood, closed up a tiny attic window in the front and covered that with Spanish tile as well. He replaced the tiles perfectly, and then placed new spainish tiles over the prepared closed up attic window. The roof looks perfect. He is a licensed contractor and he does have insurance. If he is a little more expensive he is worth because of his fine work and insurance which you will find a lot of roofers don't have.

It was impossible to find a roofer that specialized in slate roof repair. I purchased a copy of the "The Slate Roof Bible" and it stated what to look for in a slate roofer. The general roofers could not answer all the questions correctly. Most of them insisted that the slate would have to be removed and carted away and a new asphalt roof installed. When I called Jeff he knew exactly what had to be done. His price was very high for a repair, but it was much cheaper than replacing the roof with a cheap asphalt roof, and as a result I have a beautiful slate roof at fraction of the cost of a new asphalt roof. I expect to get a least 50 years out of the roof.
