Ian and his team are my go-to guys for almost everything that needs doing. I spent about a decade being turned down by contractors when I showed them the 105 year-old bay window falling off the back of my house, but they did a beautiful job of it inside and out.The bathroom was a tricky job because though fully equipped, it is tiny and difficult to work in. On that job they didn't give up until they figured out a way to sink the medicine chest between the studs (you have to understand: the house's previous owner was drunk, stupid, and deluded about his building skills). It wasn't easy and another crew would have insisted on wall mounting it. But they knew I wanted it sunk. Ian is very dedicated to his clients and a pleasure to work with.

When it comes to who gets to work in my house, I'm picky, opinionated, and interested in the details, to the annoyance of most of the men who come around here who do things only one way and "little lady" me to death. Ick. This team brings smarts, experience, flexibility and good work habits to achieve impeccable results even on jobs others have turned down. Their working style is communicative and collaborative, they show up when they say they will (or call if they?re delayed), go out of their way to deal with the unexpected, and are considerate of the household pets. The work is beautiful and intelligent. There is nothing in this 100+ year-old house that is level, square or plumb?except the gorgeous renovations that Winston and Ian have done, especially the bay window renovation. The thing was practically falling off the building and 5 other companies refused the job, but they were not afraid! No sir! They are also genuinely nice guys. When I checked off "I got more than my money's worth" elsewhere in this review, a big reason is the peace of mind that working with this team added to the labor and materials--knowing there is always a reason for everything they do, and no matter what they discover inside the walls or pipes, it will all work out. They will solve it. I couldn?t recommend them more highly.
Description of Work: 1) Lightly renovated and painted 2BR rental unit; 2) installed 6 new windows, including a bay which had to be rebuilt due to rot; 3) reframed and replaced basement doors; 4) gut-renovated a 6 x 4 bath harboring many dirty secrets
