We contacted Mr. Ravi Mangroo of Guiding Light Electric, Inc to perform electrical work on our property. First, Mr. Mangroo charged us $1200 for his time when he was not on the job, he then tried to scam us a second time when we asked for a UL certificate. Mr. Mangroo is now charging us $1500 for the Certificate which we don't have yet. The worst part was he engaged in unethical, possibly illegal practice involving his license, work, and someone else's license. At this point we can't disclose the full story because we are trying to work around him to make things right. If things are not made right, we plan on reporting this whole mess to NYC's DOB investigations unit and town board. The full story to follow if things are not made right. I would think twice before hiring this individual.
