GENTLE GIANT MOVING & STORAGE - TARRYTOWN

This is the third time that I used Gentle Giant Movers to move my parents and their belongings. The first move was from their large apartment in Westchester (NY) into Manhattan. The second time was after my mother died and we moved my father to an apartment in the Bronx, and this time was sadly after the death of my father when we divided his belongings and moved them to three locations, two in the Bronx and one in Long Island. For two of the three moves, Gentle Giant not only packed everything (beautifully, carefully AND expeditiously) into boxes and very carefully wrapped the furniture to ensure that it wasn't damaged, but they moved different groups of items to at least 2 or 3 locations. They came on time, were completely prepared, were friendly and supportive and did everything with speed. They gave us accurate estimates of how much time it would take between locations so that we could make sure we met them there and they came and went easily. They were mindful of the requirements of each building they were delivering to and treated everyone respectfully. They placed every box, every stick of furniture where we requested and did everything neatly and without mess. Any furniture that had to be taken apart was put back together at it's destination. I couldn't believe the speed at which they worked. We had fragile items and NOTHING was broken or lost. 
I can't recommend them more highly. The original time estimate was for 2 or 3 more hours than we actually needed. They worked so expeditiously that they finished around 2-3 hours early, thus lowering our original estimate. Their billing system is expeditious as well. Everything is done electronically and they communicate beautifully with the company. I had to change move dates at least twice and had no difficulty at all. 
Most importantly, they were kind and friendly. We had two out of 4 of the same guys for the last two moves. Their teams are well run and everyone seems to know who is in charge. They were great with each other (there were 4 of them) and they even seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Excellent!

Amazing! I would never use another company ever again. Employees are personable, funny, efficient, respectful, trust worthy, and treat your items as your own. Everything went smooth. We found two pieces of chipped China which was heartbreaking but they found a place in NYC for us to get estimates for restoration that they will pay for. Hopefully it's something we can get fixed. They even offered to pick up. Either way....I wouldn't use anyone else even with this incident. They are like no other moving company out there. We are looking to move from the third floor down to the 2nd floor and wanted to hire the company again and were completely devastated that because it starts and ends in NJ it wouldn't be possible. Not looking forward to find another company. $1800 included insurance, a few packing materials, and packing of China.

The best of the best. I have never had such wonderful service.  The estimate was accurate, they were on time, careful, helpful and everything went smoothly. They even helped me do a little last minute packing with a smile and at no extra cost.  If you live in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island or Westchester, I would highly recommend Gentle Giant.

Gentle Giant contacted us well before the move date to organize and set specifics. The movers arrived on time and were very cordial and well organized. They worked with our building to adhere to guidelines and timing. The delivery to the destination was also well executed.

The window given was from 12-4 and they showed up at 3:30. That made me nervous but I get nervous about things like that. Once they arrived, the job was done in no time flat. The boxes I was worried about being too heavy were lifted like they were nothing; all of my furniture was padded and well packed; and the company was able to send out three men for my little two-room apartment in order for it to go faster. The sales representative was helpful and friendly, and answered my many questions cheerfully and with understanding. These guys were worth every penny. The men were polite and professional yet friendly, and worked hard to get the job done fast. I moved in to a second floor apartment with a very narrow old staircase, and they negotiated all of my furniture up the flight with no problem.

We had an excellent experience with them. We were really pleased with them. They were very professional and very pleasant to work with. They were on time. We had called them a couple of times, and there was some confusion about who was going to return our call. It took a while for them to get back to us.

Gentle is the absolute best. I thought that everything including the pricing was very good. They did not break anything, they did just great. I even have a dining room table that I was worried about but they did just fine.
