I have used Gas Approved for my home and investment properties for the past 30+ years. I bought my first home in the late 1970's and of course, two weeks later my furnance broke down. After buying the house, I didn't have two nickels to rub together, much less install a new furnance! Mike and Ray (the owners) were the only plumbers who came into my home and did NOT tell me I needed a new $4000 furnance. Mike made a minor repair for a little over $100 and my furnance lasted for years afterwards. Right then and there these men demonstrated their honesty to me and I knew that I now had plumbers-for-life. Over the years they have connected the plumbing for me in new bathrooms and renovated kitchens, while also extending the heating system on new construction to my home. I also have them make service calls for my tenants (clogged toilets, drains, etc.) and I have recommended them to my friends and family long before there was ever an Angie's List. The best part is they only need to come once - they don't make mistakes or perform shoddy work.

They are excellent and their service is wonderful. I've known them for a long time. They are very nice; they come when you want them to come and when they say they are going to come at a certain time, they are there.

They were very good and respectful. They came and they did their job. They said they would be here at a certain hour and there were right on time. The worked in the basement for two and a half hours on the hot water tank. I have no complains at all.

I thought that the work they did was wonderful. They were very friendly. I have known them for 30 years or more.

Mike and his sons do a great job. They were prompt, professional and clean. Equally important, we inquired if we should replace our 30 year old boiler at the same time as the water heater. Mike told us we could wait until it broke before replacing it. Gas Approved is a company you can trust.

I have used them for 30 or more years. They did a lot of work in October or November. They come when they say they will. Their prices are reasonable. No plumber is cheap, but their prices are reasonable. They take a personal interest in making sure that it works and you are happy with it. They do furnaces too. They have seen me through a new furnace and two new water heaters. They stand by their word. The one drawback might be that if something goes wrong on a weekend, certainly on a Sunday, you do have to wait but it is worth it. I don't know if they work Saturdays. He has been a lead to other work people because he knows other people and he knows who is good.

We bought this house in October 2009. It is 80 years old. We had not expected trouble with the entire heating system, though we had anticipated the boiler would eventually need replacing. The boiler began to leak almost immediately and Gas Approved, which had been recommended to us by a neighbor, replaced it in November. Within several weeks the pounding of the steam pipes became unbearable. Then water started spurting from the radiators. It turned out that our inspector had missed (because it was camouflaged) that the prior owner had improperly installed a section of the steam pipe when he remodelled, creating a trap and an intense water hammer situation. Mike, of Gas Approved, estimated that to rejig the entire system would be more costly than converting to hot water. As a new home owner, I checked out his estimate and proposal by having five other plumbers review the situation and give estimates. Their estimates and ideas showed Gas Approved to be the better choice and Mike's idea to be a real cost saver. Gas Approved is a family shop. Mike and Ray are the senior plumbers and Mike's two sons round out the crew. They are great. They were willing to do the job in the winter but we made do with space heating until the weather warmed up and within one week we had hot water baseboard heating up and running. These guys know their stuff and will do a great job for you.

They have done a number of different things for me. They are a great all around heating/boiler company. These guys are really gentlemen, and I do see their trucks in the neighborhood quite frequently, so I know that they are definitely popular in this area. They were recommended by someone in the area.

THIS COMPANY DID A WONDERFUL JOB WITH OUR PLUMBING. I WAS HAPPY WITH HOW WELL THINGS TURNED OUT. THE PLUMBER WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL.

I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEM WITH THEIR WORK BUT THEY DO NOT SEEM TO BE VERY PROACTIVE ABOUT ISSUES. I WOULD SAY THAT THEY ARE BEST SUITED TO SMALL JOBS BECAUSE THEY ONLY WANTED TO DO THE MINIMUM OF WORK.
