Express Line Moving

Lea was the person that we spoke to, and Mike was the foreman that moved us. He had a crew of 3 men that did not pack anything well. They charged us a flat rate of $6000 for the entire move. We gave them $3600 up front, and another $2400 in cash when they were done. They delivered the first truck on July 11, and said they would deliver the rest that week. When they delivered the furniture, we found 7 pieces of cherry wood furniture that were severely damaged. The legs were broken off the buffet, the desk, and there were deep scratches in the secretary hutch. The mahogany hutch was completely ruined. The entrance table was missing the top. They did not. Then, they held our furniture like an act of extortion, because it would be 6000.00 more. They kept saying that we could not have our stuff until we paid. We did pay them the rest of the money or else they wouldn't take our furniture off the truck. When they brought our stuff to our new home, 2 weeks later, we had to take everything off the truck ourselves, while they sat and drank iced tea. The driver was the only one that helped. The furniture, hutch, mirrors and other things were broken. Coins worth $15,000, 2 watches, financial records and my laptop were stolen as well as a bed frame.  We gave a police report, and that is documented, and pictures were taken. When we called the company, they said it was not them that moved us, even though the paper work had their name on it, and the numbers we called were under their business. We had to call all of our financial institutions and my significant other had to change all his credit cards and alert the social security office and the credit bureaus of what happened so they could flag the use of our information. We tried to make things right with the company by receiving payment from the stolen and damaged items, but they never did. We also asked for insurance claim forms, but they never sent them. When we called back later, the number had changed.
